2014 6 Nations: Italy vs England (Round 5)

Brown for Lions 2017?

When we use our noggins we're attacking very well. When was the last time we scored three before half time in the Six Nations?

There is no way that England will put 50 on this vintage Italian side, who are odds on to win the World Cup next year.

Brown for Lions 2017?
Depending on who's coach they might not want to take a 31yr old outside back - certainly looks head and shoulders above the opposition (this far out :p)

England have been good, it's mixed, lots of good but lots of mistakes, but overall quite solid. But Italy have got to be a disappointment today. They just can't hang with England today really, and we've seen them play a lot better than this....
I'd have thought they'd play with less complexes and more freely...but no. They're subjected to England's quality, but are also much too messy, more than they should..

Bit early to be making Lions selections just yet :p it's like that thread that popped up just after the 2011 World Cup saying "2015 RWC squads, who will be in?"

The stats say that when there is an all powerful side you are playing against then the stats are right and you find it very hard to play to your full potential but if you look at the stats, I think you will find that Italy defended as well as they did against the Irish but the stats of the match show that England are playing at too much speed for them to keep any levels of fitness!!

So much for stats...............

I had half my tongue in my cheek there... Only half.

I hope Farrell Sr is sitting the backs down and growling at them for the silliness of the first fifteen minutes or so.

I always thought we would start a bit nervous with all the pressure on us to win big. But we're looking great now and remember Manu is waiting to be unleashed in the 2nd half!

Funnily they have just shown the analysis of that and it is clear if they had passed to Mako and he had taken his man out, Hartley could have walked over.....!!

Mm. Can't agree. Brown's been amazing, but Kearney, Halfpenny and Hogg have all been about as good as their team will allow them to be. Looks like being a position of real strength next tour.

This match is fun, but ridiculous. The Italian defence is mickey mouse. England's composure is not good.

I would love to see May come off his wing more

If Manu is to come on, and I am not sure why, I would see him replacing one of the wings and on their visibility today that would have to be Nowell The centres are doing ok and should not be changed....

It's amazing how the sound of the English supporters in Rome is heard.

Leicester's players will enter to the field (Manu & Tom)

Harsh yellow card, that.
I could understand if he dived on the ball at the ruck or something, but that was 50/50 whether it came off of a blue player - much like Hartley's penatly before half time last week.

I've got to go to work now, booooooooooooooooooooooooo

Ok this ref is ridiculous, did he just sin bin him for having teh ball kicked at him?!
