2014 6 Nations: Ireland vs Italy (Round 4)

If Darbyshire comes back on it will show the concussion rules...again.... are pathetic! He is out of it................

How are we going to beat France away if we can hardly perform against a weakened Italian team at home

Is it just me or has Devin Toner been our best carrier?

BO'D you are some man. Delighted for Trimble.

Amazed Nige didn't stop play for that.
Ireland used the medics as a defensive blocker two times in that move.

Great move to actually score the try, though.

Hmm, Im not taking the underdog side, but that was tough to defend when the medics are in your line.

Nig perhaps should have stopped it then as it was interfering with play.

I am not that sure that Ireland would have scored that against a better team....like France for instance?

Next week would be interesting if Ireland made as many mistakes as they have here in this half.......have a distinct feeling that we are looking now at a real hiding in the second half as the Irish want to play and if they cut out the mistakes as the Italians fade, then tries will come..

Darbyshire is back...............come on, you have to be joking!

Great from Bod and Trimble, hopefully the Italians start to tire soon.. fair play to them they've put up some fight.

Big worry regards ball carrying. For all hype before Henderson has looked out of depth and Healy and Toner seem to be only 2 wanting to carry hard yards.
Again our backs don't look like much outside of BOD and Sexton executing a move they've done for years.

Italy very hard to penetrate in their own 22. Excellent dummy and pass by O'Driscoll and great finish on a good step at the end by Trimble.

Italy looking better than expected in that first half considering how many good players are missing. And what an absolute disaster, Castro leaving the field....daaaamn, damn, damn.

Ireland looking good, still very tactical. Boy, Schmidt has really changed worlds within this team. That choke tackle (is it called ?) on de Marchi there forming a maul and getting the ball back for a good counter-attack at midfield. Great support always on the attack: Italy didn't look close to getting a turnover at the breakdown ever.

And Ireland with definite big improvements scrum-time. But again, what a loss, Castro...

Henderson is out of depth? He can't make 10 meters every time he carries the ball. & I'm suprised you bring that up because he's a huge upgrade to POM in regards to ball carrying. Best has also been carrying a decent bit too.
And regards to the backs Trimble has looked great off his wing. Both Kearneys in attack have been pretty good too.

Where are you getting this from?
