I was 100% behind Hartley last year for the starting spot but last 6 months or so i wouldn't have him near the team until he starts playing better and giving away less penatlys. I think whoever has the best form in the 6 nations will swing it!
North? The man you constantly insult for being a simpleton who runs around with a tree in his arms?1. Healy

I just fixed a ****ing laptop. I think I can pick a Lions team. Everyone else = Wrong.
Disclaimer: Don't take this post seriously I just feel very manly right now and think everyone should know how awesome I am.
:mellow:Cuthebert [...] capable of more than running in a straight line.
I'd have Cuthebert, Halfpenny, Ashton and possibly a few others over North unless he shows he's capable of more than running in a straight line.
North has shown he's capable, just he's on couple months bad form recently. Ironic you put forward Cuthbert and Halfpenny ahead of North despite neither of them having done anything other than run straight their entire careers.

Bowe? Does no one else love the jammy *******?
Forgot about that. Real pity.I don't think he can get back from his injury on time tbh.
Cuthbert has shown himself to be a much better player than North over the past few months. Halfpenny similarly.

No Cuthbert hasn't, certainly not "much better" even if he on better form. And the logic that he's better because North can only run straight is odd considering that's all Cuthbert does. Cuthbert was equally as ineffective as North was in November anyway.
Also Cuthbert is a donkey, he has no ball skills whatsoever and is uncoordinated and unskillful, unlike North who you saw give an offload above, you would never see Cuthbert do that. What you do see him do though is comedy errors like the below ...

A fine example of inductive reason this. Here's a clip of a player doing something good. Here's another clip of a player doing badly. Therefore the first one must be better.![]()
Cuthbert has been the form Welsh back since the 6 nations. North has been largely ineffective since about the World Cup. Cuthbert was been one of the few players at the Blues who seemed to give a sod when they played us earlier in the season. I considered him a bit of a donkey at the beginning of the year tbh, but I've been very much won over by him.
Personally I don't think we've seen enough of North to say what his top form is. It may simply be a case of teams having figured him out.
I can post clips of Bowe, Halfpenny, etc all messing up. I remember Bowe completely blowing **** against us and gifting Brew a try last year, but I don't think anybody would say he is a donkey.
Your reasoning: One player hasn't shown "he's capable of more than running in a straight line" so another player who just runs in a straight line should be ahead of him.
No he hasn't. That has been Halfpenny by far.
Also sure North was ineffective in November, but he wasn't awful, and Cuthbert wasn't much better. All I remember Cuthbert doing of note was having one run down the touchline and then getting pushed into touch (as he couldn't step inside as he doesn't do anything other than run straight), and also getting embarrassingly (for a man of his 6 foot 6 inch size) smashed backwards by Luke Romano when Romano scored.
The entire Wales backline has been exposed as a bunch of lumps who just run straight, not just North, Cuthbert was largely shut down in November as well.

Also you saying North has been ineffective ever since the World Cup is wrong, he has been ineffective for the last couple of months or so. Ireland for one didn't work him out ... (also note another offload here that Cuthbert rarely ever does). Also he has scored 7 tries this season (third most in the league), which is as many as Cuthbert and not bad for an off form player.
As Olly says, an on form Cuthbert and an off form North are around the same level, and on form North and there is no contest.

Difference. Cuthbert makes a load of errors like were mentioned above, were all in just one season. That was probably the only time Bowe has done that in several seasons.
I don't get it?I really don't get the North hype. Big young player=Good? Steve Hanley and Barrie Jon Mather must agree... (Oh god, I await Olyy...)
