Icarus on Netflix. Starts off with the documentary maker seeking to see how much of an advantage he can get from taking specifically designed PEDs . The man he seeks this from is Grigory Rodchenkov - former head of the Russian anti doping authority and now in hiding in the US.

Finally got around the watching the last Jedi


I quite liked it!
Other than the Mary poppins in space moment with Leia I didn't see anything particularly wrong with it

I didn't hate the prequels though, so I'm easily pleased

Feel the same way for the most part... there's a little bit of overt Disney creeping in at times.

Didn't enjoy it quite as much as Rogue One, but there were some clever moments.

I can see what Disney is doing with the Star Wars sequels; bring them to a new generation, whilst also enabling their parents to enjoy it with them having enjoyed the originals . In turn more merchandise to sell, more spin offs and can include Star Wars rides at their various theme parks.

Still can’t say for me personally that the sequels or prequels really add anything in terms of enjoyment or storyline. For me nothing will beat a New Hope, Empire Strikes Back and ROTJ.

Feeling nostalgic for the 1990s.

Took my boy and his mate to see Ready Player One. It’s a dystopian future where society has begun to crumble and people survive by playing a mass online MMO.

It’s actually pretty good and the soundtrack is awesome.

Went to see Ready Player One at the weekend. It wasn't too bad. Set in the year 2047, it's basically showing a future where most people in the real world are poor but theres this amazing virtual world called the oasis where they can do anything and design their own avatar.

To cut a long story short, the genius who created the world died but left 3 hidden keys which would grant the winner control of the world.

I'll give it an 8/10. It dragged on a bit but is a unique type of film and by 2047 there will be amazing virtual worlds that look very life like, where people can hang out. So in that sense it was an accurate view of the future.

Just saw it. Not a 10/10 for me, but I'm an intellectual from a developed part of the world, so it's expected that the bright lights and loud noises didn't overwhelm me. I bet you clapped when the fireworks went off Tigs.
Nah in all seriousness, it was really good. Beautiful to look at, great performances, especially from the kids. Jim from the office did a great job with relatively little directing experience at this level. Concept was really good, in the rare cases they used sound or dialogue it was very appropriate. The critters looked great and creepy. Thought they'd actually remain quite unseen ala Cloverfield or that other one they come at night or whatever it was called, but that wasn't the case. I felt the extent the family got absolutely **** on by bad luck was a bit convoluted, but they have to move the plot along somehow.
I'm quite hardened by horror at this point, but the middle part of the movie did genuinely make me brick myself a few times. Get's a bit more fast and action packed towards the end and isn't suspenseful, but very good in a different way. Looking forward to what Big Tuna does next.
7.865/10, an artsy high concept Tremors starring Alien's fugly younger brother.

Not surprising considering living in Ireland is more horrifying than anything someones imagination could come up with.

The fireworks certainly stole the show. (Also had no idea that Jim was married to Emily Blunt).
