I don't think that's even the point though. When you win 16 or however many on the bounce, including back to back six nations, and are ranked 2 in the world, you are legitimately going to be a world cup contender. It doesn't mean you necessarily think you're going to win. "Hype" doesn't come into it at any point. The point is that the moment englands performances start to dip at all, fans of other countries look to read this back as hype rather than a change in how well the team is playing.

As I said it was EJ. I know no-one else here said it.
And I for one ain't slagging. Of you look back I've been nothing but complimentary of England. But equally it is a worry that the Jones authority seems to have eased a bit

France are battering the rucks but then also are defending so well it looks like they have 2-3 extra men out there.
We just can't get anything going at all on attack

I can see EJ adding Manu just for his breakdown work. He seems to be able to clear rucks which is more than our current pack.
