For a start that's not really correct. Of the twenty clubs in the Premier League last year, Leicester had the third lowest worth: http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/premier-leagues-richest-clubs-how-6293748. As far as football clubs go, Leicester also had a modest revenue stream.
As for steadily improving...well in 2014-2015 they finished 14th, and the season before that they won the Championship. So yes, they have been getting better results, but obviously no one saw them winning the title, and most probably predicted a reasonably low table finish.
Keep in mind that since 1992, no team outside of the big four (Man Utd, Man City, Chelsea and Arsenal) has won it except Blackburn Rovers for in the 1994-1995 season.
What about boxing? Mayweather. $300m in 2015. For two matches lol.
where should that money go then? should the owners keep it all?

I heard that Manchester United have spent more on their over paid tarts in the last 2 years than Leicester have spent in their entire history. At last it seems that money is proving to be the cancer that is rotting away at the rich premier clubs, with the over paid arrogant spoilt ***** of your so called top clubs, M Utd, M City, Arsenal, Chelsea et al proving as much value as a bucket full of holes.
Well done Leicester, West Ham and Spurs, lets hope it continues next year.

18 months wouldn't have been to harsh. Soccer is played by dirty animals who if not for the fact they play sport(if you can call it that) would be banged up in prison or on the dole playing computer games or watching porn.
