Here it comes...in a few hours probably.
Wouldn't it be great if we had a British & Irish Lions team playing a SANZAR Lions team to conclude the year?
*Let's see how much arguing comes from this![]()
I love how Yoe instantly turns this into a platform for England bashing...

Grow some balls and stop playing the victim, it's obvious you're just looking for attention, again..
This is just silly provocation...goes right back to England not swallowing that they've never been/will never be as good as the top 3 Sanzar sides and their best bet is racking up the best surrounding Celts
What...?
In what way is that comment relevant? Seems to me that Yoe is the one looking for attention...
As for the England bashing, guys, come back to Earth again. In your minds, I've got posters of dead English lads hanging from trees in my room and the balrog feasting on the Queen or smt ! England isn't all that's on my mind fellas, take it easy, just speaking my mind here !
If, on a forum, it's relevant (for me) to criticize England, I won't refrain from doing it. If I feel like criticizing my own country, I'll do it with even more fervor, because it's my own.
Take MY COMMENTS, reply to them if you like, show me I'm wrong, agree with me, explain...but aim at the comment, would be nice.
Geech is right.
Of course he is. The Lions roll around once ever 4 years and as such the expectation hits frenzied levels. Just look at how much debate has surrounded Lions selection on TRF.
yoe, I think you're forgetting that it isn't really "just" joining 4 countries together - there is a significant relationship between the nations involved. For a start, England, Wales, Scotland and most of the Ulster region of Ireland, are actually the same country (UK). And the UK-Ireland relationship has a very intertwined history. Perhaps not all good history, but there's significance in the shared cultures of the two nations. And in fact, the Lions tours actually predates Ireland's independence from the UK in 1922 anyway.
The Lions is the one time in four years where I can support a team with the people who share my nationality (I'm British first, Yorkshireman second, and English third). There's a lot of movement between people of the countries. My best friend is Welsh, a previous one was part-Welsh, my uncle lives in Scotland etc. and it's the one opportunity for all these people to be united under one team.
Except that you singled out England (read: the English) to criticise, in reply to an article that in no way specified them and which presented the obvious PR comments of a man with more than 30 Scotland caps.
