Wales V Japan

Wearing the second kit jerseys and using the visitors changing room. The Kaballah worked fine.
But not good to watch.
Can Wales sink any lower than rock bottom?

It would have been better to lose! Now
Wales have an excuse, an escape
clause to hide behind. If they had won this test convincingly then it would have meant something. But not now, when a detracting comment comes they will point to being in the top 12 and in the second pot for the WC.
I genuinely wanted to see a deserved win, but they scraped and stole one.
This is the worst result Wales could have hoped for.
Not sure on this wombles let's not overreact there's enough drama in Wales at the moment

That game couldn've gone either way and we've got a pool in my house on whether the next two games Wales will leak over 160 or not. The next two games will continue to highlight the major issues we all know are there.

The SA game we'll have players starting who aren't in the squad yet haha!

Deaves will start against SA so we’ll win by 50

What?!?!

Wales could have gone into the next RWC as 3rd tier, that would have been devestating!

Ive got my optimistic hat back on, the fury has subsided...

Now Tandys reign can really start, he desperately needed a win in those 2 games, i think he allowed Sheratt to essentially run the same systems as the summer, where Wales were the better team in both games, and i think Japan played in a way to combat that well.

Now Tandy can drop some big names without pressure, Jenkins certainly needs dropping, as does Beard (what a dick move giving Thomas 3 mins). Murray has to go, he didnt field a single contested kick, 4 - 0 to Japan against Murray, and 8-2 overall in thay 2nd half.
Ben Thomas has proved a nonsense decision, he offers nothing even with slick hands, and Adams has to go too.

AGain, poor Tomos is having to run the attack, put in big hits, jackal, and offer so.ething special, he looks so spread thin i feel for him!

Restart needs to be thrown out, as does Patchell, lineouts went ok, as did scrum, and maul went very well.

My biggest gripe again though is Sharetts atrack, it spreads us too thin, its too lateral, it takes some of our most dynamic forwards in Vracknell, Wainrighr and Mann in positions thwy cant be efrective, and again in transition we looked wide open!!! Sheratt has to go, and we need to be more pragmatic, until we get stronger as a unit and we can develop more width and flair

Evans on for 93s lol

What's with these subs today
One debutant for Japan gives away a yellow card and the game. Not a good start to his international career!
The other 2 debutants only come on at 77'. In fact, until the 76' mark both sides had only used 3 subs each. Were they playing chicken?

Japan now need to beat Georgia to avoid the pool of death. Wales are safe either way - It's Georgia who risk dropping to pot 3.
This new Japan side since August have only beaten Canada, USA and Tonga. Lost to Fiji and now 5 different tier-1 sides.

After today's result the WRU has decided to drop down to zero national teams and ask all players to accept callups by England
Which players from today would England call up? How many made the Lions?

Ha - I was about to ask the same question. FWIW, I’d take Williams (a Lion) as our second choice 9 and Morgan, Lake and possibly LRZ in the wider squad.

I really rate Morgan, but we have lots of excellent back rowers and I wouldn’t take him over Curry or Underhill.

We’re lacking a third choice hooker so I’d happily take Lake for that role.

LRZ is very good, but again, he’d be competing for a squad place.

Wales have got a wounded NZ this weekend.

And then the Boks outside the test window meaning that something like a dozen of the Welsh squad for this game will be unavailable.

Records are made to be broken. 96-13 was a humiliation back in 1998, but this time round the Boks would just regard that as a decent first half.

I'm not having Underhill over Morgan and I love Underhill. Curry I can accept more but Morgan is still better.

LRZ was top 3 wingers in the world before he left to play American Rugby. In a few months he'll be right back up there.

The South Africans love us coz they know we are hard working Welshmen who love rugby and haven't had their lives given to them on a silver platter in a life of luxury and privilege (Genge aside who is a true English warrior)

In-game it was yellow, (with off-field review after full time), then behind the scenes it went to red and now back to yellow.

So not even close to having any bearing on the result of the match. Good for the game, bad for the "robbed!" drama.
