3rd test - Australia v British & Irish Lions

When was I being emotional?

Listen, when a fully grown man feels the need to make snide comments of embellished info you have stalked through, that's an emotional response. I personally would be embarrassed to make personal comments about someone in an online chat forum, but you do you.

This really isnt the place for this though, keep it rugby...

Now who's getting emotional?

Yup, stolen from Nige.
I miss him. I know he divided opinion and some of the "he thinks he's bigger than the game" criticism even had some merit but not only was he a decent ref, imo, he also had some decent banter and I think that is one of the many cultural things that sets rugby apart and fosters a more considerate attitude to refs compared to other sports.

Thats a valid point, I have changed my mind on certain performances and other things that happened on tour, those comments are there, but they are lost amongst conversation so noone sees them.

I've asked time and time again what Curry has done that is good, but the only thing returned is derision, insults and faux shock that someone can state the fact he's injured, not fully fit and playing like it.

I agree with VDF BTW, he is a bit jaded, but anlot of Irish players seem similar, im not sure if theyre tired, but Kelleher, JGP, Conan, Aki, Hansen all look a little off, while others have been hampered by injuries.

I feel like this Lions tour might be a hugely negative impact on the Irish team
Think you’d have to rewatch to remember some of currys moments he’s put in some big hits, that try saver in the second test if I recall scored try’s been generally pretty physical, probably shouldn’t have been there given his fitness due to injury etc but he wasn’t poor by any means wasn’t as good as I’ve seen him for sure.

Yeah Owens and Barnes both left big holes to fill. (Pardon?)

I think my issue with Owens was later career when he seamed more interested in banter and the after dinner circuit after some great one liners. But he started making some clangers in games and believed his own hype. Thats an impression.

This is why your exiled isnt it? Sacrilegious comments like these should be a hate crime!!!! Nige is reffing, and that's the end of the discussion.

Honestly, go back and watch all those 'big hits' there were 2 in the first test, both times he was late to it and the ball was shipped on beyond him, looks great on camera, but isnt a positive outcome for what he was aiming for.

The midfield hit looked amazing, but when you consider he's 25m behind play, and Beirne and conan had retreated to onside positions you start to realise how far behind the pace he was. Had there been a ruck he's out of the game totally. It was a positive result but absolute fluke.
