No there's definitely a spiteful edge to him. He's had a go Alldrums a couple of times and it's a bit more than the usual trolling/argumentive stuff. There's a real spite to it.

I agree the word “cronies” has a negative connotation but I don’t doubt your dislike of politicians as you see them as all the same.

Again, sorry if I misunderstood you general point. As I replied to you initially I got the impression that what he was doing was admirable in some way. Mainly because to me saying someone is playing 4D chess implies what someone is doing is beyond comprehension to most people and therefore admirable or worthy of respect but sounds like that’s not the point you were trying to make so fair enough. My bad.
