Just a little thing I was thinking, most people tend to have a second favourite who they like to win after the team they support. I'm a Bath fan but Exeter are currently my second favourites.

So who else do people support as their 2nd team?

Exeter for me, too.
Like the structure/culture of the club and they're new enough that theres no real rivalry with them (even if they've dicked us quite a few times!)

Like to see Falcons do well, too, because they're the other Northern side.

My decision to support any one club is fairly arbitrary to begin with, but if I was to say that Bath were the team I support (which isn't really how I'd phrase it) - then Chiefs/Quins would be my "second" teams.

Although I would say that I support English rugby, and the only reason I commit myself to supporting any one side over another is that sport is far more enjoyable if you are emotionally invested in it.

Agree with that.
I got into rugby quite late (about 16/17) and found club rugby really boring until i tried to find a team.
My Dad's side of the family is from the north west, a lot of his family played for Fylde, and my favourite players were Robinson and Chabal so Sale were a natural choice and once I was emotionally invested the premiership became my favourite competition by far.

I feel like anyone who doesn't like Exeter probably doesn't like rugby.

Soft spots for Quins (only half-likeable London team) and most of the northern clubs, as someone needs to love them. Would love Yorkshire to fulfil their potential one day.

I couldn't support a team that was in competition with my beloved Bath, although their are teams like I really like to watch.

I do have a second team but it's Maidenhead, who are well down the leagues. Good little team to go and watch, even have a 4G pitch. Come to think of it, it's where the Samsung Rugby clips with Jack Whitehall were filmed, as well as some A league fixtures.

Enjoy Wasps style of play, so probably them. I just enjoy rugby so even If we lose I'm fine as long as it's an entertaining match.

My second team has been Exeter for a few years niow, just like @TRF_Peat said, anyone who doesn't like Exeter probably doesn't like rugby. They have a few stand out players now, but even their rising stars were unknowns until quite recently, and Exeter were still achieving from the start of their promotion.

I started off supporting them as the promoted underdogs who had a great team and work ethic, and now just have to admire the growth and continued success they have. Rob Baxter is inspiring too, I would worry for Exeters future were he to leave/retire.

Probably any of the other "west country" teams, I use quotation marks as I don't consider Gloucester as part of the west country. So Exeter, Bristol & Gloucester. Mainly for tribal reasons of being based around my home area.

Cardiff Blues, its where I was born. Though in the English leagues, I wouldn't say I have a second team per se. I have teams I like watching and like they way they go about things. As many have said, Exeter are in there, so are Northampton and Quins.

For me after Leicester Tigers, i support ... Leicester Academy ^^

More seriously I like Exeter. And in the European Cup, I support all English teams(of course after Leicester) specially against the French and Welsh clubs.

Toulouse for me, as I was doing my internship over there in 2010 when they last won the H-Cup. Absolutely incredible atmosphere all around the city that evening, including an all night party in Place Capitole. Amazing rugby city that you just don't get over here.

Soft spot for Exeter too, as being from Dorset originally, they're technically my closest team.

Exeter, yes I know its what everyone else is saying but so what.

I think Exeter is everyone favourite until they really start winning stuff regulary. They aren't as bad as Italy but there's a reason why Italy is everyone second favourite 6 Nations team ;)
