I wish some of these were true as they sound hilarious. The remove players until only the fly-half is left option would be bizarre to put it midly and the (non-existent) scores would be through the roof

Imagine if your player was through to score but all his stamina drained because of the hot potato thing, you'd go insane :lol:

Anyway, 'tis a shame none of these are true but they would make for some great DLC

Prior to releasing information on the official, more serious details of Rugby 2012, we have been given special access to the less important, but still fun novelty statistics and features for Rugby 2012.

"In recently relayed information, we can now reveal that some rather surprising special features will be included either as unlockables or regular features in the new HB Studios Rugby 2012 game".

Here is some of the new information relayed to TRF:



Between international and club teams, the game will feature 72 fully-licensed teams and 60 unlicensed.

42 Stadia from around the world, with an unlockable "wobbly goal posts" and "super wind" mode available at some.

Remove a player mode - For off-line multi-player, where each time you score a try, your opposition can remove one player, but must leave the fly-half till last.

Shuffle The Squads - A random draft of the top 100 players for club comps or countries!

Human Ref - An opportunity for a third player in multi-player games to make the hard calls whenever he likes (Off-line only).

(Unlockable) Fast growing grass mode. By full-time your boys will almost have lost each other in the over-growth!

Hot Potato Mode - Any player who holds the ball in his hand and runs for more than 2 seconds will begin draining his stamina for the whole game period until he passes!


It seems to us here that due to the delay in information, we've been given these as a fun distraction to tide us over until more seriously important details can be released. Further information on this update will be released at 12 noon April 1.
