World XV and Classic XV

I don't think you can make a classic XV. I prefer splitting historical rugby into decades. Maybe EA could make a "world XV" from every decade to play against in their challenges? (if they have something like that again) Or possibly a best team from every world cup?

Game is not being made by EA.

Anyway, if HB are having a set of challenges like that in rugby08. It would be cool to play a team like "1987 WC XV". Or some sort of classic team.

A lot of the classic teams posted here are obviously by younger people! Here's my Classic XV - I've tried to mix it up with the nations as much as possible so it's not dominated by any particular nation and also only picked players who are now retired (hence no O'Driscoll for instance who would edge Sella out for me)

15 - Serge Blanco
14 - Gerald Davies
13 - Phillipe Sella
12 - Danie Gerber
11 - David Campese/Jonah Lomu
10 - Hugo Porta/Naas Botha
9 - Gareth Edwards
8 - Zinzan Brooke
7 - Michael Jones
6 - Jean Pierre Rives
5 - John Eales
4 - Martin Johnson
3 - Jason Leanard
2 - Sean Fitzpatrick
1 - Os Du Randt

man wat is up wit all the sonny bill being in the world team... hes only played rugby for 3 years and all hes good for is passing... im sure there heaps ov better second 5s???

Put the teams from famous games in, so, for example, the Baa Baas team Vs the All Blacks in 1973, the World Cup-winning sides, ect.

World XV:
15- Foden
14- Ashton
13- James O'Connor
12- Sonny Bill Williams
11- Hosea Gear
10- Dan Carter
9- Fourie Du Preez
1- Domingo
2- Du Plessis
3- Brian Mujati ( I kid you not)
4- Gray
5- Matfield
6- Reid
7- Mccaw
8- Parisse

Reserves
16- Brits
17- Heyman
18- Tonga'uiha
19- Botha
20- Pocock
21- Genia
22- Cooper
23- O'Driscoll

Can people please keep Ben Youngs away from their world XVs? He shouldn't even start for England; Danny Care and Joe Simpson are much better.

Which Botha is on the bench with nr. 19? BJ, Bakkies, Mouritz?

Almost everyone forgot the best hooker in the world Schalk Brits.. - what a god

People would remember him if he could scrummage or throw a lineout.

Britz is to some extent a porr man's Ricard Strauss, I know I may be bias but Strauss dose all that he dose and can throw and scrum.

Eh?
Strauss is very good in the loose but he is nothing compared to Brits

Plops all over him in the set piece though, which is the main thing that matters for your front row

Brits will never be a better hooker than Gary Botha, Bismarck du Plessis or even Tiaan Liebenberg. His strong assets are amazing, but for a hooker he is terrible with his line-out throwing and scrummaging. Those 2 are, unfortunately for Brits, the most important assets for a hooker.

I think Strauss is pretty good in set piece, hes better then Jackman and Fogerty were he might not be a huge amount better than Britz but he IMO is. He is only up to HC level IMO I don't think he would make it any further. Also if he was still in SA he would be in the Currie Cup no more.

Shhh! Don't scare it away Heineken, it's an interesting specimen. It knows how to use a keyboard, but it's grasp on grammar and spelling is beyond our mere mortal's understanding.

Oh and it's a necromancer.
