World Cup Jerseys

That better be only for the warm up games because it's just down right awful. The worst part being the neck slit thing WTF were they thinking?

Its so ugly ...its ..a collaboration of Chunk from the Goonies, the incredible hulk and Runway designer to make the most vulgar item of clothing possible

The Scotland ones look really weird up close on a big forward.... Almost like a training shirt they would wear during practice.

That looks Black.

Are the SRU hoping the locals will all be blind drunk and cheer anything in a shirt lacking any colour?

Frankly, I dinnae mind the gold, would have prefered white, but anyway

What is a complete, utter f@(K!ng farce, is the under wear they have to wear with it!

Sorry if it has been brought up

Ahahahahahaha, those shorts are both brilliant and terrible at the same time!

I feel sorry for the Scottish team!

Ok, shorts are a bit weird....but I really like the jerseys themselves, much more simple than the last deisgn, i think it will become a classic

As for the France one, I like the idea but it still looks very light weight compared to kooga/CCC/Adidas

I think the new jerseys for samoa bring a fresh look and start to this years world cup. 2007 was a bad year for samoa and for me bringing in designs from the 2007 jersey reminds me of how crap we were. Samoa to make semi's CHEEEEEEEEE HUUUUUUUUUUUUUU. Look out this is our year boys.

most likely be changes to the material, the way it's stiched and such.

may also be some sort of design/Maori pattern put into it but it will still be black. Similar to what the jersey already has.

yeah, they do as it will be visually different so something like like a maori design might be the go, i know last years NZ Maori design was super popular

how are teams constantly ruining their jerseys?

just take their normal jersey, remove the sponsor's logos and add the RWC symbol. how hard can it be?

New Zealand also look like they're going to be guilty of ruining the jersey:

The All Blacks will be wearing a new jersey in 2011, the New Zealand Rugby Union (NZRU) and its Principal Partner adidas have announced today.

The new jersey, which has been designed and tested in conjunction with several senior All Blacks including captain Richie McCaw, will be unveiled for the first time when the All Blacks take the field against South Africa in their opening Investec Tri Nations match at Westpac Stadium, Wellington, on Saturday 30 July.

The new strip will mark the biggest changes – in technology and design – to the iconic All Blacks jersey in more than a decade.

The jersey design has been a well-guarded secret and all McCaw will say about the jersey is that "it is revolutionary and also respectful to the All Blacks' long and proud history."

"It's not change for change's sake. I'm a traditionalist when it comes to rugby and fans can rest assured that it still looks like a rugby jersey. It's still an All Blacks jersey that you're proud to hold up and proud to run out and wear," he added.

The other players involved in the development of the jersey include Dan Carter, Andrew Hore, Brad Thorn, Conrad Smith, Mils Muliaina and Keven Mealamu.

All Blacks Manager Darren Shand, who was also involved in the development of the jersey, said: "The team are always keen to see new technological advances which help their performance and I think adidas have achieved that, which is great. The players were also mindful that they are the guardians of the jersey while they are wearing it, so took that responsibility very seriously in the new design which we think will add to the legacy."

"It's an awesome responsibility to be the designers and manufacturers of a jersey that dates back to 1884 and has become nothing less than a symbol of New Zealand," says adidas Country Manager David Huggett.

"We are mindful that the people of New Zealand own the All Blacks jersey. Although there will be a visible difference in the All Blacks jersey this year, the change will be respectful to its 127-year legacy.

"The 2011 jersey will again raise the bar for both technology and design," says David Huggett. "This year New Zealand rugby takes a big step into the international limelight, so it is fitting that the jersey should take a leap forward in its long evolution."

yes its really plain, saying that the world cup jerseys have to be don't they (as in no belly sponsor :p). Shane's looking nice and beefy though, wonder if they'll showcase a pic of Gav wearing it, now that'll F!!k s!!t up :p

Not really a fan of the massive Underarmour logo on the collar... But plain is nice I suppose.

Hope the England kit isn't going to be an absolute shambles!

The kit's alright. As Best Fullback said, I don't like the positoning of the Under Armour logo, but it's alright. It'll probably grow on me as the last one did.
