Womens World Cup

I absolutely danced a jig when we rolled France A in the churchill cup this year. I'll be doing my part, I will be in Napier on Sept 18th 2011 wearing my supporters jersey screaming my fool head off. I'm even learning to swear, curse and insult in french in preparation.

I might see you there ... my brother got a Canada pack, but probably can't make all of the games, so I might go if I can get the time off

My gal, might become a bit of a rugby widow tomorrow with all of the Womens Rugby World cup games, and Wallabies V Springboks :D

England conceded 10 points against USA, so no No-Points-Conceded ***le for us :p

Semis are as follows:
New Zealand vs France
England vs Australia

Did it work?

New Zealand beat France 45 - 7 to secure their spot in the Final,
England vs Australia is currently on (15mins or so in atm) and England are 7 - 0 up,

Looks like a repeat two world cups finals is on the cards (England vs New Zealand)

going to be a cracker, can the black ferns continue to keep the worlds only professional woman rugby players at bay? (assuming england beat aussie)

12 - 0 to England at halftime,
England very close to scoring at the end though (had a couple of knockons in their 22, one as the player reached for the line)

Fulltime:
England 15 - 0 Australia

If only England hadn't conceded against USA, going in with 0 points scored on them would've been quite special :p

Roll on the final! Can't wait

Black Ferns vs England RWWC final.

Im gonna go for Black Ferns but it'll be a close game.

is the final on sky in NZ or do you need the rugby cahnnel? Would be awesome to see.

FT:
New Zealand 13 - 10 England

Congratulations to New Zealand! Very close affair, was 10 - 10 for a while but NZ got a penalty 15minutes from the end and held out
It's a pity England couldn't capitalise on the two (wo)man advantage they had for a couple of minutes (two NZ players binned, about 7mins apart from each other)

i found it fairly hilarious tbh...the female version of the haka looks like line dancing crossed with a version of the hokey cokey...

but nonetheless there was some good rugby played..i remember that there was a welsh fullback who was absolutely amazing a few years back proprly rapid..did not get to see much of the womens wc this year though..

Watched the game live stream from the RWCWomens site ... good close game that could have gone either way.

Enjoyed the game and the Haka

Congrats to the Black Ferns - 4th ***le in a row!

Amazing to see Anna Richards still playing some good rugby at 45. It was also good to see that a couple of Otago players (Carla Hohepa & Kelly Brazier) playing so well.

I was very impressed with the England 7 and 8 (who think was their captain as well). The English halfback, however, was very poor. She was incredibly slow around the field (probably as she was carrying a lot of weight) struggling to get from ruck to ruck - if she had been able to provide some quicker ball I think the result may have been different.

The only unfortunate aspect of the the game to me was the refereeing, as the ref looked completely out of her depth at this level. It seemed to be a lottery as to who was going to be penalized at tackle or ruck time. Hopefully there will be a focus on training these refs, so they can perform at a higher standard.

wish I'd seen the game. Staggering they won with three yellow cards. That is some effort. Anna Richards is a legend, her name should be popping up come halberg time. 45 years young and a RWC champion. wow

Bowls, Poker, Croquet is sports you'd mainly associate with 45 year olds competing at the highest level with all due respect but Rugby??..Good on Anna her experience would have been valuable Im sure of that and I havent even seen the game. What a champion.

Congratulations to New Zealand! Very close affair, was 10 - 10 for a while

I don't mean to be a jerk, but what on earth were you watching? The score was 10-3 for a while, England only scored a try in the last twenty minutes, New Zealand were completely dominating them. The score just doesn't reflect that. I mean, you have to be dominant to play 13 vs 15 and not concede points, then score a try with 14 vs 15. This game was not close at all, I remember the first 30 minutes, the territory was 98% on England's side and 2% on New Zealands.
