Who do you think year in year out for the last 100 years is the team every country's top 15 gear up for like no other team?

Who consistently gives the closest games every year?

Who has the highest amount of victories against any one country?

Who has the highest amount of victories in international rugby?[/b]

Answer - New Zealand...... Simple

truthfully, I don't think its that simple.

I really believe the most top tier teams get up more for England. People love beating England more than any other nation IMO.

The second question just doesn't make sense. For SA, playing Namibia is the closest. Over all, I think the closest matches are in France (most centrally located of the top tier teams) or maybe again, England.

Any one country? Erm. Argentina. SA has the best record with 100% record in 13 games whereas NZ has 12 out of 13.

Last up, of the top tier teams, France has the most international victories with 354 in total. Fact.

So, lets hear the cheers for England, SA and France!

Well done for being from New Zealand, it makes you a better person by association with a great rugby team (admittedly, your association is somewhat tenuous, being as it is, based entirely on your birth location... something I doubt you had too much control over. Don't let this slow you down though, be proud of your tenuous link to greatness, celebrate it whenever and however you can!).

You should thank your parents (who in turn may need to thank theirs) for having the foresight to give birth to you there rather than in crappy old England, Australia or South Africa, where residents walk around with their heads stooped out of permanent shame at the 'pathetic' achievements of their international rugby team, the only reliable measure of their nation's worth.

Be careful though - some people will attempt to dampen your argument with claims that you are manipulating facts, or simply that you are posting through some sort of personality fault where you feel the need to be 'the best' - perhaps compensating for bullying at school or even diminutive genitals.

Don't let it get to you... keep repeating your mantra "I am right, even wikipedia says so".

It is your duty to educate these philistines, and remind them how ashamed they should be NOT to have been born in New Zealand. Only then will they learn that this thread is not so much a debate, but a chance to simultaneously realise the full extent of their shame, as well as worship your magnificence, both personal, and of course that of your all time world-leading rugby team.

Please allow me the honour of being the first to humbly thank you for this noble service, I await your future offerings with warm anticipation!

Good on ya son but I think you need to work on your reading. Its simple as read a question and answer it do you think yuo can handle that toup?

No right or wrong just opinions and if you wish facts.

Ok, now that you've clarified that facts are strictly optional, then I'd love to!

Guatemala is, unexpectedly, the answer.

Despite the population being just 18 people, they are, by a coincidence which baffles scientists worldwide, all amazing rugby players. But it's not just that - they all play different positions and can form a team! Incredible!

This biological and hereditary miracle has allowed them to post an international record of 2445 wins, no losses, and not even a single point conceded... it's no wonder that every opponent ever interviewed ever says that Guatemala is the opponent who motivates them most.

Obviously it would be dull if these were all runaway victories - and let's not forget that the thread stipulates 'close games' - the Guatemalans have perfected a strategy of scoring a single dropped goal or penalty, and then defending it tenaciously for the remainder of the game - every single victory in their proud history has been by just 3 points! Edge of your seat!

I'm amazed nobody got there before me to be honest!

See there you go toup. My post is 4 questions and most are angered at the questions, why?...I think I know why.

No he didnt. Why is it people from Guatemala always fail to mention the 14 consecutive losses they suffered against Guam?

You credit him for telling only half the story!

Hah! I laugh in the face of your ignorance... the IRB does NOT accept those fixtures, played as they were during the Guatemalo-Guam conflict, when the 17 of the Guatemalan side / population were on active military duty.

This left them with just a loosehead prop to compete in a series, hastily arranged by the vastly more populated Guam, who knew that in years to come, rugby superiority would be the true measure of national worth.

Fact is Randwick, New Zealand may be the best at rugby but England wins at history. This is why we are the team everyone wants to beat at rugby.

We colonised your sorry country and gave you the language with which to chat your **** that you're chatting now. Hell, we colonised more than anyone else has ever. It was our brood who f***ed over the Maori and the Aborigines and the Native Americans and etc. etc. It was England who invented concentration camps and thus influenced the nastiest part of world war 2. It was us who got out our rulers and carved up Africa and the Middle East and made them the peaceful and prosperous places they are today. It was us who laid the foundations for the USA, which is now continuing our quest for world domination.

Put simply, if there's one country who's had the most influence on how the world is today, it's England. Well done us.

Ah but hold on, this makes us really unpopular... maybe we should shut up about being good at something and get on with it.

*hopes Randwick sees the analogy*

I dont hate England or any country I love England I love how my conscious is in english and how I speak the international lingo.

The only thing thats been close to hate or nasty or even silly is comments towards me for my post but its just words on my computer screen at the end of the day from people I will never meet in my life.

I am going away for the weekend now. When I return, I expect to see nothing but posts agreeing (and if possible worshipping) the superiority of Guatemala in world rugby.

Anything less and I will be forced to create threads beginning with highly manipulative questions that obviously make clear my intention that everyone should answer Guatemala.

You have been warned.

Direct from the (translated) Guatemalen rugby home page

"The Rugby is a new sport in Guatemala, where the adrenaline is converted into force and 15 warriors fused into one."

How awesome is the last bit

I've heard rumors from Guatermala, that the punishment for losing a match, is to chop off ones own hand to ensure the next time they play, they will be reminded of their shame of defeat. They are true warriors. The best team ever.

Come on man I know this guys being an idiot but did you have to say this you're just stooping down to his level I know you don't mean it and just trying to show your point but it would be good to do it in a more subtle way after all he was just talking about a Countries Rugby team not the country themselves.

Unfortunately I have Maori and English blood running through my veins so half of me wants to kill the other haha. Anyway Randwick most people know All Blacks are probably the best in Rugby history but it doesn't need to be shoved in their face. Don't hear the Aussies shoving League in our faces just because we won the last RLWC doesn't mean we're the best we know certainly well that the Aussies still come back and give us a good hiding.

First time I bothered reading this thread today and I can kind of see your point Randwick of just wanting everyone to answer your post it's just pointless because you obviously already know the answer and you're just trying to be cheeky.
