A female European psychopathic assassin (Villanelle) who is being tracked down by British intelligence (Eve)... although it's a serious drama/thriller, it's also hilarious as Villanelle is such a super-freak.

Started Watching this last night (by accident). Got the first 3 episodes in, which is usually the margin for on whether or not to keep on watching it. I am so far very happy I started watching it. Villanelle is something different.

Yeah, she has become one of my favourite tv characters.

Did she not? That is crazy as the actress is unbelievably good in the role.
Sarah Oh did instead, I've not seen the show so can't comment.
Some played the race card on it but I suspect it's far more to do with Oh is North American and was way more visable having a prominent role in Grey's Anatomy for many years and having been nominated 5 times for best supporting actress and failed at every hurdle, the show producers probably felt she had a far higher chance so pushed her more. Awards season tend to go to be people plugging away for years with near misses than breakout talent (I think Peter Dinkledge was the last time with GoT S1).

Fair play to Oh, she's good in the show no doubt... maybe it will change for the season 2 nominations though Comer is even better in the latest episodes.

Yup hopefully there is absolutely no doubt its success at awards has helped propel its word of mouth and that's really important for smaller stuff like this. I know Richard Attenborough attributed a huge amount of Ghandi's success to it snapping up awards. But once its established it can start aiming at other things.

It should be noted Comer did win the BAFTA and was pretty much a top contender in all the British based awards.

Anyone watch Barry? About a hitman who goes to LA to kill a target, follows him to an acting class and decides to become an actor. Really good.

Heard that it's good but haven't gotten around to it yet... this has bumped it up the list some tho.

For those of you who have or are planning to cut cable or satellite subscriptions. Here's a couple of outlets for free TV programming, movies and music channels. Most of it's older content, but there are some current and original programs. And you can't beat the price. ;)

Designated Survivor season 3. Keither managed to recycle his "we're running out of time" line from 24.:)

Rosamund Pike cast as Moiraine in the Amazon Wheel of Time show... not bad casting imo.

al'Lan will be crucial casting for me... although it would probably seem typecast, I think Iain Glen would be perfect.
