What TV Show's are you watching/looking forward to?

Better Call Saul is up in Netflix today

Groundhog - What do you think of series 2 so far? Me, I think it has been so, so; up to date and next episode is on tomorrow. Thinking it's equivalent of Season 2 of BB, i.e. setting up the storyline for later on.

How it all ties in with Saul setting up his dodgy practise ready for the beginning of BB will be interesting.

Just started on Black Sails season 3 (wanted to wait until it's all done on TV so I can binge watch as many as I want).

It's trashy but I bloody love it.
Also the women on it are tip top

fekking Walking Dead

**** gets so tense and good (Finally) and then to have that crappy Cliffhanger ending.

God Damn it.

Yeah, I wonder who was the one that got on the wrong end of Lucille???

Now to wait until October for the next season... At least Game of Thrones will be starting soon.

Halfway through DD 10/10 pretty much bar a couple of things.

Netflix are sooooo on point with their CB shows.

Finished S2 last night, excellent. Puts all the family friendly Flash, Arrow bar S1, Supergirl etc to shame.

Indeed!! In the US, season six will start on 24 April at 9pm. It will be simulcast in the UK on Sky Atlantic, at 2am on the 25 April. Not sure about elsewhere, but am sure can be found online.

Re-watched season 5 last weekend in anticipation. Reminded me how depressing that season was, but also how much better it is to watch a season in one go instead of watching it weekly.

I've recently been watching this show called "Nathan for you"

I recommend everyone look this show up immediately and watch it. It absolutely killed me with cringeworthy awkward laughter.

Just finished Boardwalk empire on sky box sets and I have to say it was excellent

Yep, has to be in my top 5 or so US shows. If you liked that and haven't seen it, then you would definitely enjoy Breaking Bad. The Sopranos is another crime drama in the same crime genre. All share the same themes of how money and power corrupts and involve anti heroes in Nucky Thompson (based on the real life Nucky Johnson) Walter White and Tony Soprano.

Or even Narcos, which is based on the real life capture of Pablo Escobar and how he pretty much controlled half of the US cocaine market in the 1980s. Only season 1 on Netflix, but history already tells us what happens to Pablo. Still, a fascinating story, from the viewpoint of the DEA and Columbian top brass trying to capture the King of the white stuff, who practically bought a country.

Series 3 of Peaky Blinders coming soon. UK's attempt at the crime/gang genre. Shame Aeschylus series is only 6 episodes. BBC doesn't have the budget of the big US studios.

Do you guys watch non-english speaking series? Some very high quality stuff around. Just to name a few:

Deutschland 83 (german)
Bron/Broen (danish/swedish)
Borgen (danish)
Forbrydelsen (danish)

All of them are simply superb.

Bron is the Bridge in English. Yes we get that one and the Killing as well. On my list to watch.

I know, but the english versions are not quite as good. It'd be like comparing the UK's version of the office with the US version. Both are good, but one is significantly better.

I was referring to the Danish versions as well. We get them, but with English sub-***les. There are English remakes i.e. with English actors and English script, but it's not the same and agree the original is better. For example the Girl with the Dragon tattoo, the Swedish version is infinitely better than the Daniel Craig version.

There are boobies in it. (and not on the props)

It's just ***s and dragons as Ian McShane put it! Sadly many owners of said ***s have *** free contracts now that they're big names in their own right.

I'm looking forward to it hugely and still tempted to stay up for the simucast.

There's many spoilers online based on the trailers, will they be right or will the writers have some surprises for us?
