What TV Show's are you watching/looking forward to?

Shogun for me was really good so far, I like how they have focused more on the politics of feudal japan rather than focus on the British sailor.
Acting is excellent.


Fallout I enjoyed it alot, it's not award winning TV but it's very fun.

I gave up 3 episodes in. I don't get the fuss. I'm putting it down to people that played the game loved it and people like me who didn't not so much.

I've never played the games and thought the show was good.

I've never played the games either and I'm really enjoying Fallout so far, couple of episodes in.

Not sure how it's rated as a 15 though with the levels of gore, not that it really bothers me, but my other half doesn't enjoy too much gore and wasn't expecting it given the rating. It seems that if there's not too much swearing/sex, then a lot of gore is allowed in modern tv shows before it becomes an 18.

Was reading awhile back that film and tv production try to avoid 18 certificates now days. 18 certificates really limit potential profit.

It does seem what would have been a 18 back in the day is a 15 now.

I was waning by the point you're at. Don't get me wrong, it's brilliantly shot, looks great, characters are interesting and acting is good so I should love it, and while I certainly don't dislike it I find myself wanting a bit more.

The thing that did me in the end, though, was while I didn't feel the ending quite landed I was saying to myself, well it's set up nicely for a second season and maybe the first season is just setting the scene for a badass season 2 but then I find out there is no season 2 and it's a standalone season which left me a bit annoyed with it all to be honest.

A prequel series could be interesting.

I watched all the series (rather because my partner wanted to watch it ). I never played the game, and basically can't stand video games and films/shows based on them but..it was more or less ok. Nothing special,but at least not boring

Yeah pretty much how I felt. I liked the Ghoul but not enough to keep watching.

It reminded me a bit of "Annihilation" if you watched this film. Especially the scene with the bear

Very similar vibe to The Lady Astronaut books which I really enjoyed.

Takes a while to get going think the episode where they introduced women as AsCans got me to keep watching and the last 3 or so episodes of season 1 were a real roller coaster.

Be interesting to see if they do any more seasons, it's been very well received and there's near endless opportunities for new stories in the setting - guess it comes down to money, think it's the most expensive TV show ever?


Edit: just seen that they've confirmed a 2nd season, so that's good

JURY DUTY on freevee (part of Amazon). This show was released in 2023, it's free and it's funny. I think you'll enjoy it whether you like being a juror or not. It's won several awards and has an 8.2 out of 10 rating on IMDb.

I couldn't get into Noble House but I did like reading King Rat and think that would be a good shout. Also it would be interesting if they make some series based on Wilbur Smith books.

I've started watching Baby reindeer. It's good but also very awkward to watch because of the topic it deals with (mentally unstable stalker and and also not entirely grounded stalker target).

I've watched it recently. It's good and scary at the same time (especially if you were a stalker's victim and know how dangerous it can be). The end is a bit...weird, let's say, I didn't like one moment and still can't understand it (won't describe which one to not spoil). Also,was struggling with all her "messages" as she wrote them with mistakes and slang and I had to stop it every time to translate correctly.
Oh,and it's pretty funny sometimes ("sent from my iPhone" , "iPhone" etc )

I always feel stalking is a bit different for men than it is for women in the sense that if you're a bloke and have a woman stalking you, you generally won't give a **** if she's fit.
