What are you listening to?

Feel the same about a lot of older music, to be fair - I prefer modern covers of older songs, because the guitar tones/recording quality of older bands (Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath) just....I dunno, I just don't like it!

Saturation is the term you're looking for, I think.

I'm guessing you like Metallica's Whiskey In the Jar, then?

'Nam era rock is the ****.

Aye, infinitely better than Thin Lizzy's.

You take that back, no cover ever beats Thin Lizzy's original.

Love so much of that era or rock absolutely brilliant. Some of the best songs/albums produced then.

Anyway not the same genre but being listening to this one a lot recently:

It is I'm on about First to bring exposure to the song.

Original was a poor choice of words but in terms of none trad style it was an original as far as I know.

EDIT: Or I should just say version.

Dubliners version was the original release but they didn't write it I don't think, also my favourite version of the song. Thin Lizzie's is brilliant too, not a fan of the vocals in Metallica's they feel a bit empty.

God damn this year. RIP Glenn Frey.

Damn you 2016!

Seriously this year is getting worse by the week on this front.

So Craig David is relevant again how did that happen?

Makes me feel old when people act like he is a new artist or something and I'm only in early/mid 20's.

If "to pimp a butterfly" sounds anything like that song he performed at the grammys then it didn't deserve to win.
Genuinely ****ing dreadful.

I guess Avid Merrion failed to bury the ****er for good.

I thought that was class! His album was insanely good, and is genuinely better to listen to as a whole than just picking the best songs out and listening to them.
