It's a favorite song of my late father.

All the Russian folk songs, or love, or homeland, or war.

Color month crimson,
Where waves rustled the rocks.
"Let's go, babe, riding,
For a long time I was waiting for you. "
"Let's go, babe, riding,
For a long time I was waiting for you. "

Ride with a nice agree
I love the waves of the sea.
"Give free rein to sail,
Itself I sit down to the steering wheel. "

"You're right in the open sea,
Where the storm did not handle us.
In this crazy weather
You can not trust the waves. "

"You can not? Why then, my dear?
And in the bitter fate of the past,
Do you remember the treacherous apostate,
As I trust you? "

"I lied to you once.
Today you held.
You feel death, despicable!
As a coward turned pale, trembling. "

All night worried Sea
Seething sea wave.
And in the morning rocked on the waves
Only the chips that shuttle.
And in the morning rocked on the waves
Only the chips that shuttle.

At my wife's birthday, so I'm overly sentimental ...

Listening to a lot of "Vietnam" era rock atm,
CCR, Stones, Hendrix etc.

Gah, so good!

I've been meaning to listen to more Hendrix, love his classics and imagine I'd love the rest! Like some of the Stones stuff too, Dylan is my favourite from that era though.

saw Savoretti on Graham Norton tonight which was a bit of a surprise! Started listening to his stuff while avoiding Christmas songs! If you like this take a look into his other stuff, a nice sound for light listening, he's not going to be anyone's all time favourite artist though.

Bad link and phone crashes whenever I try to edit, "Catapult" by Jack Savoretti is the song!

Dylan is my favourite from that era though.

I've never really gotten into Bob Dylan - can appreciate the lyrics and the music but could never really get over his voice.
Just one of those things, I guess - very talented musician, though, don't get me wrong.

To a lesser extent that's how I feel about Bowie - fantastic songs, but I don't like his voice.

Feel the same about a lot of older music, to be fair - I prefer modern covers of older songs, because the guitar tones/recording quality of older bands (Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath) just....I dunno, I just don't like it!
