Wasps V Cardiff Blues

I missed the game (But tried to keep in touch with live scoring), and have just watched the highlights and don't get what was wrong with Blair's non-try. Can someone explain?

There was nothing wrong with it DuncTheDoodle. Somehow the ref thought Rush knocked the ball on, but it was quite obvious that it came off a Wasps player. I watched the highlights on S4C yesterday, and Derwyn Jones pointed out quite a few mistakes by the ref, especially at scrum time. I know the Blues scrum was under pressure, but Vickery conned the ref on many occasions to get a few more penalties. I think the IRB really needs to educate refs a little more on the techniques used in the scrum, as sometimes a ref will just decide at the start who's the strongest and just penalise the other team no matter what.

Cymro, haven't seen any problem with his lineout throwing in the past few games. It certainly was a problem of his, but it looks like he's really worked on it. Pretty sure the Blues lineout was 100% against Wasps? How old is he anyway?

He's 28 and has 27 caps for the Blues.

It was good in the last couple of games but he has not been consistent all season. If he carries on then he might get some attention from Gatland as Gatland likes big physical hookers.

You'd think with two hookers in the coaching set-up that'd be the one place we get it right, but nooooo, he goes and picks Bennett. Rhys Thomas is like Bennett, but he can throw straight.

Dont get me going on McBryde ... that man is a waste of space in the current Welsh coaching set up.
