Warm Up Match 1: New Zealand Barbarians v British & Irish Lions (Whangarei)

I'd back Gatland (the younger) if NZ baabaas get a late try.

Very worrying that aside from one good territorial kick Farrell has been just as bad as Sexton so far.
I disagree. His game as a whole has been far better. He's increased the tempo, he's taken it to the line, his passing's been more accurate. Other than his pretty poor missed kick I think he's done a fine job.

Mako, what a boy

Someone's just being salty because Sexton was terrible
If you'll notice all his posts are slagging off the English players

We can talk about tactics until the cows come home but the ongoing story is one of missed chances, positions given away, lineouts not straight and basic set plays ruined with offsides and infringements. Just an awful performance.

Hoping Wednesday will be a starting team of.
1) Vunipola
2) George
3) Cole
4) Itoje
5) Lawes
6) POM
7) Tips
8) Stander
9) Murray
10) Sexton
11) Watson
12) Farrell
13) JJ
14) Nowell
15) Williams

What game are you watching? He's played better than Sexton, barely. Very worrying indeed.

Incredibly embarrassing, albeit with some promising individual performances.

Warburton says "pretty happy with that"

Think that Moriarty struggled today in terms of the backrow. Faletau and Warbs made some good carries and it will be interesting to see the tackle stats.

Think there's a few superstars to come back to the pack, including Itoje somewhere.

Not a great start. Next few games will be interesting.
