No one seems to have put one up

Pete Samu signs for the Tahs putting him back into contention for a wallabies call up.
Big news as he is a star player for UBB

Also JOC name keeps popping up to make the squad

Sua'ali'i looks like he will be fine for the tour also.

Are their selection rules similar to ours? Play there or no dice?

Not much to say really. Schmidt will mostly pick the players he's already been working with. Maybe a couple of injury forced changes to the squad. For the most part the Wallabies have all been the best performers in SR this year.

Pete Samu is a great player but I question whether he will make the squad. I think Gleeson has the bench loosie spot sewn up and then guys like Hooper and Uru have been playing really well.

Biggest call is to Skelton or not to Skelton.

I feel Samu will make the bench tbh, He's got that experiance in European big games.
Skelton I also feel needs to be in and personally I would pair him with Frost and go after that Lions scrum which is very vulnerable
Porter is a not a top scrummager
Schoeman is solid
Genge is solid
Furlong been injured and out of form
Stuart is solid
Fagerson is solid

None of the locks are what I call TH locks either.

I would go with the same starting pack in the AI's but have Skelton and Frost starting with Samu in on the bench

What's the opinion on Koroibete and Kerevi?

Frost starting over Williams? I think I prefer Williams TBH. Frost is technically excellent but a bit low on impact around the park.

Kerevi blew his chance with that red against Wales. Think he actually looked pretty solid too. We have enough form wingers not to bring Koroibete back at this point. I also think Koroibete, much as I love him, is on the wane.

One rogue selection I would make is Swain. The Force lineout has bested all comers this year and he's been excellent.

Poor man's George Martin though
For me I feel Itoje and Bernie will be clear starters
Idk. For exactly the reasons you've outlined I feel we're far more likely to see 4. Itoje 5. McCarthy 6. Beirne. Has Farrell ever really gone for a non-lineout jumping 6? He’s no mug, he knows the importance of set piece. Don't think there would be 6 locks in the squad if he didn't intend to play at least one of them at 6.

It would be a very good team that Chessum didn’t start in.

😂😂😂 I never thought I would see an Australian side look to target a Lions scrum because they thought they had an advantage there. The Australian scrum has been a weakness for a long time. I still remember Andrew Sheridan destroying the Australian scrum in the 2007 world cup.

A lot of people seem to think that the Lions will walk it. I'm not so sure, there's some good young talent in that Aussie team and a lot of them are in good form. Depth is an issue but with Schmidt they will be on it tactically and I'm sure he'll have some surprise strike moves up his sleeve. It will be interesting to see if he brings in a couple of overseas players to back up the local talent. I'd definitely have Skelton in there and Samu should play as well.

I think the Wallabies are strong in the backs bar maybe 10. Back-row also looks very good. However, I think the Lions will have a clear advantage at the set-pieces and our front 5 is better than Australia's.

I mean the Aussies first choice front row punished England in the AI's and Porter has had a tough time recently.
This isn't Sheridan and Sheridan didn't go against Tupou

Tbf no one’s gonna be going against Tupou any time soon; the man can’t get a start for the Waratahs. His form’s always been hit or miss but the last year or so he’s been miss miss miss. Alaalatoa’s a threat though.

Tupou's issues aren't scrumming and he's been as dominant as ever in that regard. It's everything else that's the issue. I expect he'll still be picked at least in the squad and if played I fully expect him to get a yellow/red card within the first 20 minutes of action.

Ancient history. If anything, the scrum is one of our only strengths.

We also used to be able to compensate for a limited tight five with a world class backline but now they all play league. The tight five generally aren't suited to league contracts.
