Wales v South Africa - 23/11/2024 (17.40)

Where was the defence out wide? Like they all panicked and when the ruck got turned over.

This is leading to be an embarrassment.

On the upside, no cards in the first 10 mins!!

Overall problem is obviously bigger than gatland, player pool is shallow and young, and youth rugby is in decline, but the players are better than this and last week, backrow is talented.

Is it?

Botham is a clubman, Plumtree is barely that, Morgan isn't fully fit.

I'd have much preferred to have seen Reffell and Morgan wither side of Botham

Good defence set that. A bit of a glimmer of light

Hendrikse is quite poor

I meant as a totality. Morgan is potentially worldclass. Reffell is one of the best pure 7's around at the minute, plumtree flashes good things and is only 24, Tshiunza has amazing potential either at 6 or in the second row. Morgan Morris should of been looked at after last year as well but gatland not interested.

Reffel isn't playing, Botham and Plumtree are penalty machines and barely offer anything other than club level physicality.

Our best back row is Reffel, Morgan, Wainright. But Morgan has been injured for 12 months since RWC
