Wales v New Zealand

No Jane!. Henry's just racist against Wellington. Should have dropped his boy Milsy and given Jane a crack at his preffered postion. Damn Aucklanders. But really it's just a case of wanting Nonu in the mix. Jane starting would have Toeava on the bench and Nonu probably in the stands and he's too good for that. Glad Hosea Gear is in, yea boi, put the final nail in the coffin of Rokococo who is yet another Aucklander with nine AB lives :p

There is no doubt the Jane has been outstanding at test level, however as I've just pointed out, over the last few years Toeava has also been consistently good at test level (the recent Hong Kong test aside). People's opinions of him seem to be clouded by his poor first few seasons of international rugby, when he was clearly not ready for test rugby. As I've said before, personally I would have started Jane for this test (I think he's the best outside back in NZ), however I do believe had Toeava not been injured at the start of last year he would currently be the incumbent right wing for the AB's, as Jane likely would not have been given a chance. I wouldn't be surprised to see both Toeava and Jane together on the wings next year, as the AB selectors like to play as many fullbacks as possible in their back three (though Dagg also fits the bill as a fullback/wing).
I agree with this.

I would've rather seen Toeava at fullback and Jane on the wing. I think Toeava creates more space for his wingers than any other fullback because he attracts more attention.

what the hell? is Rokocoko injured or something? if not then its pretty unfair he hasn't even been given a chance, he hasn't played any games since the hong kong test and he didn't even do that badly in that game, meanwhile toeava had his worst game and what does he get? a start in nearly every following match, i don't get it, i mean Rokocoko at least deserves a chance to prove himself he hasn't even been named on the bench since the hong kong test

In fairness, though I think he should have started this test, as I don't like Toeava at wing (there are much better right wingers in New Zealand, never mind the All Blacks), Rokocoko did start the England test, but was replaced by Toeava just after half time.

Rokocoko has had more chances than most in recent years.

Looking forward to some of the individual match ups such as Gear v North

With regard to the AB team makeup

... I think they are playing Toeava on the wing ahead of the other guys because he needs all the time he can get there (which I think is his weakest position), if he is to be a serious contender for a utility spot in the RWC squad ... if he can convince the Blues coaching staff to let him do some goal kicking during the SupeRugby season, that wouldn't hurt either.

... I don't think too much can be read into the whole SBW/Nonu thing, and who is the incumbent, or better player. They are clearly both going to be used along with Smith next year (barring injury), and they are probably trying to work out which one has the greatest impact off the bench. Please note i said which one has the greater impact off the bench, not which one is the better player ... if you look at the whole Cowan V Weepu issue earlier this year, I think they were both good half backs, and it was debatable which one was the incumbent, but Weepu seem to have the greater impact off the bench.

... I can't figure out why Andy Ellis is on the bench ahead off Alby Mathewson ... unless Mathewson is injured, or the AB's management are trying to manufacture some competition for the 3rd halfback spot (once Weepu recovers from his injury) for next year

Is it just me who, you know, can't, you know, watch an interview with Dan Lydiate, you know, you know... drives me round the bloody bend!

BBC are sticking with the tennis instead of showing this match, the bloody idiots

Kaino punched the Welsh fullback on the ground. Toeava 2 runs too powerful. Gear dots down and Toeava in pain. NZ 5 WAL 3

Just switched from BBC 2 to S4C (only had the message now <.<) tennis is running on longer:( cant understand commentry xD but that was poor defence from north tbh.. good try for NZ.. seems close after 5 mins hopefully it'll stay this way xD

Anyway one thing north needs to improve on is defence.. it might just be a off night but hes missed 1 that went for the try and just missed another.
