Wales v Fiji

Fair does to Fiji they are throwing some substantial chat about beating us.

Why not, we all remember what happend in 07. Plus, we are normally poor on the Friday night games.

What, with Manu saying their more passionate about rugby than us?
He should get down my house on match day, the fat prick!

Hahaha

Manu also piping up about how Wales rejected him ... yawn, be like another John Yapp on the pitch!

Fiji team announced: (http://www.espnscrum.com/other/rugby/story/129387.html)
J Matavesi (Exeter); M Tagicakibau (Saracens), A Vulivuli (Racing Metro), G Lovobalavu (Toulon), V Goneva (Colomiers); S Bai (Castres), N Kenatale (Tailevu); C Ma'afu (West Harbour), V Veikoso (Nadi), D Manu (Scarlets, capt), I Rawaqa (World Fighting Bulls), J Qovu (Racing Metro), S Saukawa (NEC), M Ravulo (North Harbour), S Koyamaibole (Sale)
Replacements: T Talemaitoga (Southland), G Dewes (Counties Manukau), S Kalou (Otago), A Qera (Gloucester), S Taka Veilomani, R Ratu (Aurillac), T Rawaqa (Lautoka)

Eight changes from last week - doesn't look as strong as the side that face France to be honest. It sounds like a couple of players ( Rabeni and Lewaravu) had visa issues, so were unavailable. It will be interesting to see how Ravulo goes at 7, as he's had a good season at North Harbour.

they are? i've heard people saying we're gonna get thrashed :( i'm still holding some hope of a win if Fiji put on a miracle performance. obviously Fiji are going to get raped in the scrums and possibly in the lineouts, they might miss Qera with him moved to the bench for Ravulo. I haven't seen much of Fiji's wingers Goneva and Tagicakibau, but i don't really think Goneva is that great on the wing, he played for Fiji as a center and idk if he is really a winger, i haven't seen how Tagicakibau has been playing though. I just hope Fiji can put on some kind of miracle performance to win this one but i think Wales will win by about 18 points.

apparently Rabeni and some other players had visa problems, don't really mind that Lovobalavu has replaced him though, but even though Nalaga didn't have a good game last week i think Fiji will miss him with the two wingers they've chosen

then again i never thought fiji were gonna beat them in 07 and i never thought we'd lose to them by only 1 point in 05

Im optimistic of a victory but with Fiji running us close. There will be a few players who remember that Fiji defeat and will want to make an amends for it. Remember this is the first time that they have met since their defeat in the World Cup!

Exactly the reason we badly need a good performance in this match. Just seems that we've under performed in this type of fixture (vs Canada 08 and vs Samoa 09) over the past few years, and if we want to be regularly competing with the Tri-Nations then we really need to be comfortably putting these games away as standard.

watching the Wales vs SA replay now, Wales were leading SA 17 - 3? damn Fiji could really be in trouble here :O

Nice sing song there Welshists.... It's all very "Cyril"

Great try by Fiji! Fiji is very agressive at the rucks. Excited for the 2nd half.
