An 8 man bench was used during the ITM Cup, and seemed to be successful. It seems like a pretty logical concept - I don't think it will be too long before we see it implemented at all levels of the game.

never been a big Fan of the guy since he's been coaching internationals. Even though he coached me in high school and we all worshiped him back then.

But I can't disrespect the guy for being honest. I'm sure a lot of coaches have done it or thought about doing it. And I bet he didn't just come out and say it, I bet someone asked him if he had thought about doing it because it would have been a perfect scenario for such a tactic.

The worst thing they did was bring Roberts into play flanker. He did a crap job anyway and it took him out of the back line where he was badly needed.

Not condoning his actions but let's be honest, Gatland is not the only coach that has ever thought about doing something like that in any sport. Comparing it to the Michael Jackson situation is barbaric!
