Ulster v Biarritz

You know if they're not careful, in the middle of all this tedium a rugby match may break out at some point. Maybe.

0-3 to Biarritz. Something finally happened.

What a shitty game this has been so far.

Looks cold, wet, windy and miserable at Ravenhill, the 3-6 scoreline reflects this.

Biggest moment of Ulster's season here:

AND HE'S GOT IT!

9-6 to Ulster.

Ferris is like an Irish Richie McCaw
He's nowhere near as skilled/talented, but refs seem to ignore his hands in the ruck/not rolling away/going off his feet :p

Shame both sides could have lost that. From the brilliance at the RDS from Leinster to that shite. What an Anti-climax.

The Terks vs Royston Vasey best make the evening more entertaining or I will be thoroughly ****** off.

He's also a 6.

Anyway, great day for Ulster. A bonus point in Italy would see them through. The group currently stands like this:

Biarritz have Bath at home while Ulster go to Aironi. They could quite easily both go through, depending on what happens in Pools five and six.

Unless Biarritz have one too. 22 Points won't be enough for a home qualification I don't think, so best runners up is unlikely.

Dull game, started good but wasn't what I expected from it. first time I saw the Ulster jerseys and were a bit confusing as Biarritz normally plays in a similar shirt.

Depending on how results go, the best runners up spot is quite likely. We'd probably get no further, but would at least have laid down a better marker to aim at next season.

Very impressed with Humps final penalty. Not so impressed with Pienaar kicking it away with 90s to go - I know he wanted Biarritz back on their 22, but can't the Ulster pack pick-and-drive for that length of time?

I can see where he was coming from. Ulster's defence had looked good all day and in those conditions it was unlikely that Biarritz were going to be able to make the 80 metre break needed to snatch something. It would have been far more likely that an Ulster man would have knocked on or committed an indescretion, giving Biarrtiz a chance.

To be honest Biarritz tried to kill the game by trying to close it out with 20mins to go and by not letting any of their backs have the ball. Ulster were good and should have had at least one try. I thought Peinarr, Humphreys, Ferris and Spence were all good. Loved it when Touhy bounced bosch. He seems to be very good at bouncing players now.

It worked out for Ulster, but they could have done without the Oh **** moment when Biarritz spread it to the left.

I know what Munster - and any champion side - would have done.
