Ulster have received a triple boost after lock Dan Tuohy was joined by academy duo Nevin Spence and Paddy McAllister in signing new deals at Ravenhill.

Tuohy, who made his Test debut on Ireland's June tour to New Zealand and Australia in 2010, has agreed a two-year extension while Spence and McAllister have put pen to paper on their first full contracts with the province.

Pacy centre Spence has made six starts this season and scored a crucial try in Ulster's Heineken Cup win over Bath at the Rec in December.

Tuohy first signed for Ulster prior to the 2009-10 season after a spell with Exeter, having graduated from the Gloucester academy.

He made a try-scoring Test bow as Ireland slipped to a heavy 66-28 defeat to New Zealand in New Plymouth last year.

Fantastic news, and even better follows as Trimble signs a new central contract!

Ulster are really getting their act together. Given two more years they could challenge for the Heineken Cup with all the talent they have streaming through and the core of experience that surrounds them.
