Uli's Rugby 08 Mod Thread

erm as soon as i assign the orange boots and and the others i assign the boot id using woosahs 06 editor(as i dont have 08), it doesn't seem to show the boots and gives to the black boots and a red ring goes around the head of the guy i assigned it to.
These are the assign numbers i think:

The ones that work:

black - nike legend SG black
black & white - puma king SG black
yellow - nike total 90laser yellow
light grey - nike mercurial vapour III silver
white - nike legend SG white
blue - nike mercurial vapour III blue
black adadas - adidas nine 15 black
black adadas yel toungue - adidas preadtor rugby
white with blue - puma v1.08 yellow
balch with white/red - nike air zoom rugby

The ones that don't work:

16 - nike mercurial vapour IV orange
17 - le coq sportif puncher II thaiti
18 - nike toal 90laser white
19 - puma-V-Konstrukt II white
20 - puma v1.06 camo red
22 - adidas predator absolute white

can u help me sort out the ones that aren't working?
thanks

A ViNcENt ClErC BoOts! This is the Jonah Lomu of bootpacks ..Awesomeness personified!

@savundra92: To assign them to the players you need the last version of Woosaah's Editor wich lets you assign 16 boots, with previous versions you just can assign 10 boots.</span>[/b][/quote]
I think it's explained there! You need the last version of Woosaah's Editor, otherwise you just can assign boots 1 to 10. Also you wrote boots 16 to 22, and they are only 16 so maybe you meant 11 to 16.

Download the last editor and you won't have any problem ;) . And i don't know if it works for Rugby 06 as i don't have it.

k if it does'nt work, thanks for your help anyway sorry for the troubles.

cheers and greatwork on the boots

Thanks a lot xusky :) . Yeah that's Hook's ID, i just forgot it. James Hook was one of my first faces so maybe i didn't notice that he has a unique face ID, but it's a generic face anyway. So now i've just updated that old face.
Luckily with the new system we don't have to worry about replacing faces. You are using it for your new faces, don't you?[/b]

Yer I have started to use the system for all the new faces I create. BTW How did you get the alpha channel to show in oedit on the Hook face? Also I would like help with the mouthguard thing whats the best method?

Also excellent boot pack man, its really quality work as always, more people need to give rep to this guy, common show some appreciation :D

Thanks man!
OEdit doesn't work with alpha channel, so i've just take a cap of the face without the hair and then another with the hair and edited it with Photoshop. This way some people wont ask "Ohh what's that white part in the hair, did Hook colored his hair like Xavier Garbajosa in the 90's?" LOL
And about the mouthguard i've just make a texture in the top teeth of Habana and other player faces, but it's not noticeable in the game because they don't open the mouth. Just ocasionally and you can barely see something.

Ah cheers, I thought that's what you had done with Hook face. Yer I may leave the mouthguard thing as its not really worth the effort then. thankls for the info ;)

Try assigning it to 14161, it worked for me, as this is the players id. Great face too Uli, the headgear looks great man ;)

Great job ULI.

I have good news for the facemakers. I've found this tool on soccergaming forums:

http://files.filefront.com/OFileWorkerzip/...;/fileinfo.html

It's called OFILEWORKER and lets you import parts from an O model to other O model. Actually you just can replace parts, not add new parts.

Here it's a video tutorial:

http://rapidshare.com/files/153790915/Video_Tutorial.rar

and here it's the post link: http://www.soccergaming.com/forums/showthread.php?t=156062

Thanks to 'nazarenooviedo' from soccergaming.com forums.

Well... the tool was made for stadiums, but it works with FIFA 09 faces as you can see, and i tried with some rugby faces.
I tried to add headgear to Serge Betsen face. But as i said you can't add new parts to a model. So you have to make the inverse way... import the face into a face model with headgear or hair. It looked good in OEdit but it didn't work in game.
Then i tried with Carter and it works perfectly. I've imported Carter's face and eyes parts into my James Hook face (actually caucasian Best new head 15) and i get a Dan Carter with hair. I made a hair texture with the same pic that i used for the face texture, and make a transparency.
Here is an OEdit screen:

It looks perfect in game. So sometimes it works and sometimes not. Try the tool and tell me what you get ;) .

I will update Carter's face tomorrow.
