If you think the atmosphere at Twickers is bad you should see the DW Stadium for this RL match against France. I don't know how they can call this sport 'rugby'. THERE ARE CHEERLEADERS FFS :mellow:

Atmosphere sounds great - I think TRF_Saints is there, so I'm sure he'd attest to the same.

There are cheerleaders in Union too....
Quins have had them, Sharks (amongst others) in Super Rugby have them.

Twickenham is an awesome stadium, it's massive and it's loud.
Yeah it's a bit hard to get drinks and food once you are in your seat but rugby is a short game and if you can't hold your horses for the 80 minutes then you probably have a drinking problem. There is plenty of time before and afterwards to have a guzzle and a nose bag.
The noise level is impressive the tv screens are a bit small and the price is too rich but it is a magnificent stadium and a credit to English rugby.
I can rarely afford to go so i won't be there any time soon.

There have been a couple of articles written for the papers recently that have highlighted the lack of atmosphere at Twickenham.
And without wanting to jump on the bandwagon, or make something out of nothing I'm going to have to agree with the general sentiment.

The crowd does not seem to be made up of rugby fans - knowledgeable ones anyway.
They don't seem to react to anything other than a try or kick.
The difference between Twickenham today and the Millenium and Stade De France was huge, regardless of the quality of the games.

I'd be interested to hear what both England fans and non-England fans think?
