Sorry for the late update but things are hectic in Casa Ezequiel lately plus the fact the table mod has been changed and I needed time to get to know it. Here we go with a recap of round 17!
Yours Truly is slipping up lately. WIth only one 10+ score in the last 4 weeks I am seriously messing up. I am like the Sharks team itself! This round I even picked up the weekly wooden spoon with a mere 7 points! Apparently it's hard being a Sharks fan these days, because my fellow Natal-supporter, Draggs also did not get past the 10-point barrier this week. With 9 points he is 2 points in the clear of the weekly wooden spoon but it's sad to see our team's form taking control of our prediction skills. While still being the log leader, Draggs is falling down the log from 3rd to 6th.
This is also due to others having massive scores this week. Before we get to that, we look at Bogdam who ended this week at 12 points and is 25 points behind of lucky number 7, who got 15 points and increases his lead on Bogdam by 3 points. BadGena is slowly working towards the 10-point mark in his scores going from 23, to 16, to 15, to 13. Can he turn things around or will he see Shaggy and Gavin pass him on the log close to the end? It seems we have some chokers in our midst just like the Super15 itself.
Shaggy and Gavin both had +20 scores this week. Shaggy predicted 4 try scores and the points by the Hurricanes, getting him to 21. Gavin predicted the scores of the Waratahs and the Rebels and 3 try scores, bringing his total to 23, beading towards BadGena to get to the 7th spot.
Our Belgian Maori, Amobokoboko has shown his amazing ability to predict 3(!) scores this week (Hurricanes, Blues and Bulls) and ended the week on a high with 24 points, his highest score this season, surpassing his record 21 points from round 11.
lucky number 7 was mentioned earlier getting to 15 points but these included 4 correct try predictions (Hurricanes, Brumbies, Reds, Lions). His score puts him clear of the wooden spoon for this prediction league, unless Bogdam scores 26 points more than him next week.
Before we head towards the higest score of the week and the best try-predictor of week 17, first we take a look at darwin_23 and TNT88. The Dunedin puppy is chasing Ezequiel for the championship and is getting closer and closer. After losing 8 points last week, he gains 11 this week, only trailing by a narrow 5-point gap. Everything is possible. TNT88 is in 4th place, being 12 points away of the top position. He scored a massive 23 points giving him a 20,6-point average over the last 3 weeks. He is 10 points clear of stormer2010 who, unlike his team, seems out for the championship. Despite his score of 22 points, the other predictors seem to do better for the places above his.
And now, we get to, the highest score of the week and I am proud to tell you guys, we have a new highscore for the season! While Gavin (Round 7) and Draggs (Round 12) got to an amazing 32 points, our English participant manages to go even further. Olyy has scored a mindblowing amount of........thirty-seven points!!!. It even looks better than numbers. Okay, 37 points!!!. Congratulations Olyy!!! If we have a closer look at his score, we see he got 6 try scores (Chiefs, Hurricanes, Crusaders, Highlanders, Reds and Bulls) and managed to predict the correct score of 3 teams (Hurricanes, Blues, Bulls).
With his 37 scores he climbs up to the 3rd place on the log and is only 9 points behind Ezequiel and after some bad scores, the former log-leader is back in the hunt for the trophy and that will put a smile on the face of our Sale Sharks fan. It's sad to see that in a week where the 2 Natal Sharks score not even 10 points, the Sale Shark gets a new season high score.

In the play offs, for every match you guys can predict 1 try scorer per team which will give you 15 points if correct. Also the scores for winner, try score and point score will be doubled in the play offs, going from 1, 3 and 5 to 2, 6 and 10.
