My Team

Healy Best Cole
Gray Ryan
Wood Picamoles Parisse

Parra Farrell BOD Fofana Cuthbert Mermoz Brown

I forgot about that tall piece of timber (see what I did there?).

I get confused with the England backrowers. There is all of Croft, Wood, Robshaw, Fourie, Morgan, Waldrom, Johnson and then some to remember so I just don't.

Although I am certain it would make perfect sense if one followed the AP closely.

Fourie has retired and Johnson is out injured for the whole tournament, so that narrows it down a bit - but then you need to factor in Haskell and Kvesic instead :p

Will edit it when the teams are announced but think it's decent:

Healy Youngs Debaty
Launchbury Gray (I know he's not on the best form but didn't have much option.)
Picamoles O'Brien Heaslip
Care
Sexton
Davies Tuilagi
Fofana Clerc Halfpenny

It seems like the variance between teams is minimal so it will be a close race! I just hope my ignorance guides me well.

Are we putting anything up for the winner; a kind of gentleman's agreement to chip in for a little something? Although I have trouble with my Paypal account so nevermind.

I'm interested in giving this a go, but never done any kind of fantasy sports thing before. How does it work exactly, and what parameters are taking into account when scoring each players performances? How is a prop scored for instance, on scrummaging alone, or does every aspect of his game get taken into account? Are wingers only rewarded for scoring try's, or does defence and other contributions get taken into account?

Edit. Maybe I should have just read the scoring system on the site!

If they are Welsh, probably. After all, we are apparently the best in the world, according to Ireland, or something like that.

Yeah, it's a bit limited because really it's you guessing who is going to score all the tries/conversions. So best idea is to pick your team in reverse - first outside backs, then centers, and finally props. I just throw any old Italian/Scottish prop on in the front row and never change them. :p

I went for a couple of outside choices just in case:
Healy, Best, Cole
Parling, Gray
Beattie, Heaslip, Picamoles
Care
Sexton
Tuilagi, Davies
Visser, Maitland, Fofana

Put tom youngs in bit of a risk but one of the most mobile hookers, throwing has improved (toulose game certainly showed that) just whether or not he will start.

I had him in but I swapped him out for Best because he has a better chance of starting, if he does start might swap him back in though.

Am I correct if I understand that for this fantasy league only tries, try assists, game time (full game more points) and goals (only from your dedicated kicker right?) count for points and y/r card count negatively?

Joined! Think I did decent last year, come on 'I'm not very creative when it comes to names...'!

Whoever has signed up with the team name #YOLO should start with -10 :p

#YOLO certainly wins best team name.

Also whoever is called Michael Bolton IRL wins that round too.
