If you want to travel to Viadana the best advice is to go as part of a package organised by your club. Connections by public transport from Parma to Viadana exist, but I wouldn’t advise trying them. I understand that the club are willing to put on a shuttle from the airport to the ground if there is enough demand. Again the notification needs to come from your club. If, however, you want to come “under your own steam†my advice would be to make a weekend of it. Rent a car from the airport and a hotel (probably less expensive than a B & B!) in Parma, a gracious city, and then explore the area. I’m biased, but the city of Mantova is one of the most beautiful in northern Italy and there’s loads to see and plenty of restaurants! And for drivers, always carry your licence (patente) and be careful at roundabouts, as lane discipline on them ia an “optionalâ€!
