Transfers rumours

Would be surprised if Haffar left Saints but if they got him on the cheap after Irish folded they might not be able to offer him the 2nd contract he wants

Arundell to Bath gathering steam, French press reporting it as a done deal: 3yr contract

Wonder if he's being released or Bath are buying out the remaining years of his contract?
Am I crazy in thinking bristol would be the perfect fit for him... create a ton of broken field for wingers. Not really sure bath is ideal for his development either, but will be interesting to see how it plays out.

TBF, we all thought that about Finn as well - but that's working out pretty well so far.
If true, then the presumption is that he's taking Coka's place* in the starting XV (unless Grace stays and shows his League class in Union). JvG has also talked about adding a new layer each season - initially of course, we all assumed that was just so much management speak, but he does seem to be walking the walk as well.
Might be worth noting that, even with Muir and Coka on the wings, Bath have scored more tries than any other team at this half-way point - plenty of which do come on from the back 3 (I make it 13, vs 15 for Bristol's back 3).

My issue isn't that Bath would be a poor fit for him, but that he's all "potential", and little "realised" at this point in time; with a great highlights reel, that makes him overpriced.
Having said that, as a replacement for Coka, I'd expect him to get a fair few more tries than Coka - if only because he's better than 50:50 at catching a rugby ball.

*Coka's place, of course, is being a workshy highlights reel who's full of potential that's yet to be properly realised; generating a threat on the wing to keep defences honest, and allow the centres a bit more room to shine.

Thing with finn is, he came as the finished article and makes hte team play to his style as he is a 10...

I am sure he would be fine and show of some highlight plays, coka is one of the reasons this worries for me from a developmental perspective, raw player with some real highlight assets but didnt put it all together to be an international class player despite being a very good prem one with the limitations... very similiar to arundell

Has Arundell moved then? Or is it that guaranteed?

Even with Muir going down injured Grace has left Bath for Cardiff.

Really not sure on this move, seems he's made of glass, and not rated by Bath, Cardiff have 3 wingers injured in Grady, Gillard and Cabango, and with Adam's looking slow, Bowen making his debut a few weeks ago, and Winnet struggling I get why the risk is worth it for them.

Man, I've been so excited for Grace since he announced he was switching to union, but he just can't stay fit. Fingers crossed he'll get a run of games at Cardiff and show his potential.

But on the day that Leon Brown has been forced to retire at the age of 28 after injury on top if injury, and only a couple of weeks after Olly Griffiths doing the same; sometimes players are just injury prone and not destined to make it.

Btw, I disagree on Adams based on his last few games for Cardiff. Looking sharp again. He was playing through injury last season, having his knee drained of fluid regularly. Looks much better for taking a rest and letting it heal properly, who would have thought!

Amazing to think Leon Brown only managed to get through 70 games for the Dragons and 20 for Wales. He never managed a run of 4 games in a row.

Adam's still has a nose for the line, is experienced and eager, bit he's lost 3 yards. Hopefully he's still getting sharp, but watching him get caught within 5 yards after a 3 yard head start, or failing to round a back rower means he isn't the same electric player he once was, similar to Falatau.

Let's hope he's canny enough not to get exposed at international level.

But back to Grace, ye I just don't think he's going to make it, Bath gave him a good chance, and he failed, must be last chance saloon.
