Transfers rumours

Great one club man but not great enough to put his own personal grievances aside and do his best not to disrupt the dressing room of a team competing on two fronts where he should be a leader. Can't say I feel sorry for him one bit reading that.

Aye. kinda my feelings.
It's one thing doing it whilst at your new club.

It's another when you are still with that current club and a day before a game

I do find it funny Quins offering a cheap low end deal last week after his great form.
Something Tigers have been quality of before.

It's tough when it's a 1 club man.
358 games for Quins
That's actual incredible and honestly if he was willing to stay for a reasonable price I feel that's the time of player you would want in your squad, with the view of starting to coach the academy. But Gustard seemed to panic about results and blame the OAP's instead of himself I guess.

The Quins Full back did look immense yesterday v Ulster I have to say, was very very impressed

Jeeze,

Say what you want about his personality, he gives everything whenever he's on the pitch and he's been playing really well recently - Chisholm/Morris will be a big step down next season

What a legacy Gustard leaves behind him
Chisholm has had a lot of injuries and not sure he will be fit for a full season.

Only last year heard he might be thinking of retiring and going onto another career.

Or doe's he like Leamington... i would say Cov but might be pushing it...
I thought he was a real Sussex boy and liked keeping his roots there.
If so then Irish might be the place, although he might like rural Cheshire

I really hope not ...

The past few months have shown we have a group of players that are best suited to running rugby. Bringing in a coach who specialises in a power and territory based game plan is completely the wrong direction. Gustard tried to make us Saracens 2.0 and it very obviously didn't work ... Did we learn nothing from that?

Erasmus is clearly a more successful coach than Gustard, but the fact that he has won the World Cup makes naff all difference to me. It doesn't mean he's a good fit for Quins and it just makes him more expensive at a time when finances are depleted and we need to invest in the squad.

Quins loss will be our gain...hopefully. A class experienced Full back...and we have some tremendous young backs coming through who can hopefully benefit from his experience. Dean LOVES his experienced players and wouldnt have even thought twice about signing Brown.

Saw Nick David been rumoured to Quins in replacement. Good replacement if so. I don't agree with how Quins have treated Brown but..... i will say that it just shows that Quins are moving into a new world and that might mean a world where Marler, Care, Brown etc aren't there.

Think Jono Ross might have to call it quits - on a three month stand down atm for concussion issues,
Considering the way he plays I don't think he should come back from it tbh, it's not worth the long term risks.

Will sale replace him or do you think Sanderson will look at spending the extra on a tight 5?

I doubt it tbh - we desperately need a tighthead, with WGJ leaving, so hopefully any spare money goes towards that.
We're pretty well stocked in the backrow with:
Curry, Curry, du Preez, du Preez, Wiese (I think his best position is 6), Dugdale, Neild
That's two full backrows + 1 spare (plus Beaumont can cover 8)

and Axe has said he's not looking to bring in many players, but promote from within

Ross to retire? Really? Jesus it was only a short while ago that he was a bolter for England squad. Shame Sam Moore left as would surely have slotted in. So much quality in that Sale Backrow tbf. If WGJ is leaving what about JCW? gone a bit quiet since his move from Wasps.
