Transfers rumours

Not a fan of ArniePie. He only ever posts to deliver bad news and then disappears again. I get the feeling he/she is a disgruntled club employee.

TBH, I could see Gustard leaving, but I don't know why he'd want to be Wales defence coach.

Be rough for Quins if he does leave - especially with the mini player exodus going on atm
If he leaves at the end of the season whoever comes in won't have the time to replace players with who he'd want (/free agents will already be signed up by that point) - or inherit a disjointed side with a bunch of players hired by a guy with one eye on the fire escape

Unless they'd be promoting from within? I don't really know what Quins coaching setup is atm

As true as that is, he's rarely wrong! One I can remember was Walker going to Leicester but apparently that changed late in the day

Taking a gamble. Better to be credited with Wales' rise from the bottom to the top than England's journey from the top to still at/near the top.

Wonder who will replace Gustard then?
My money is on Easter
Fkn hope not ngl.

We need someone with HC experience - we've not had that since O'Shea.

Imagine Chieka, Dimes, and Ryan will all get banded around - not sure who else would even be available?

I seem to recall reading that Stuart Lancaster is looking for a return to England.

I'm not sure I'd want him but there's no doubt going to Leinster has done a lot to rebuild his reputation and as he's typically done his best work with developing younger players, that could suit our current squad.

When he was spoken about post England, apparently Quins players were resistant to the idea, but Robshaw and Easter are gone and it seems Brown is too. Ashton's contract is up. That only really leaves Care and Marler with any experience of working with him.

Bath rumours
Tian Schoemann seems to be already in Bath, quarantining in Farleigh (thought to be coming out of quarantine this weekend).
Jacques Du Toit is "on his way" - his arrival has been messed up with various covid restrictions, had been due to arrive mid-week.

Alot worst than Lancaster. Rated him highly before he went to Leinster then his time at Leinster only strengthens my views he's an excellent coach. Key at Quins is structure

According to Neil Fissler, Worcs connected with:
Will Chudley (SH) from Bath
Christian Judge (TH) from Bath
Scott Baldwin (H) from Quins

Not a bad group to be linked with but makes me wonder which hooker will be out the door with Annett, Moulds, Miller and Cutting on the books. We need a good TH as Schonert doesn't seem to have a lot of backup.

Wouldn't be surprised if we raided the championship for a few players either

I read that Exeter are interested in Schonert as a replacement for Francis. Might explain Worcester's interest in Judge.

Yeah would make sense, would rather keep Schonert though :)

Daily Mail
Tigers in talks with Freddie Burns
Jordan Taufua leaving to Lyon
Tigers in talks with bok backrower Marco Van Staden (Which would give us 6. Liebenberg, 7. Van Staden, 8. Wiese, bench: Brink.... that's a back row I think a few franchises would want...)
Chris Ashton to join Worcester as soon as tomorrow
Sinoti Sinoti had a trail with Worcester this week
Falcons interested in Theo Brophy Clews

Rugby Paper
Falcons are keeping an eye on Lawrence contract (Insert a well duh would imagine every club is)
Natal Sharks are trying to bring back Esterhuizen
Gustard apparently been linked with Sale and Tigers jobs? but wants to look abroad
David Williams (Natal Sharks attack coach and former bath academy coach) to return to Bath as attack coach.
Dan Cole signed a new contract with Tigers and will end his career at the club.
Naholo is fighting for his career with this current injury.
Emily Scarratt in talks to join Exteer premier XV team

Gustard to Sale is....weird
He'd have to go back to being a defence coach, because Axe is head honcho, and we've already got a very good one - Sanderson said statistically Forshaws defense is better than the Wolfpack's

Sinoti Sinoti to Worcester is a weird one - what's the deal with him and Newcastle?
When he left them the week before the season started I'd presumed he was heading back to NZ for family reasons, or retiring. To go to a different prem club a few months later is...odd

Rowlands is almost certainly off to Wales, Taylor has been linked with a return to Sale and Vellacott with Edinburgh.

Other than that, I can't say I've heard of any other specific rumours.

I imagine Odogwu will be in a great position to renegotiate now, but I'd argue that maintaining his current level of performance in an environment that suits him is the most important thing. Leaving for money would be unwise.

Cruse, Brookes, McIntyre, Bassett, Cardall and de Jongh are all important players for Wasps preferred 23. The rest of those on the list are more squad filler, several of whom rarely play. Ben Morris is a decent back up flanker, but if I were Wasps, I wouldn't be going out of my way to extend Owlett or Vukasinovic's contracts.

Taylor gets linked with Sale every time his contract is up - I don't believe it tbh,
If Akker was out on contract then maybe, but not as it is

Yes i thought so, Im not sure you need him and would most likely look for a decent pay day.

Rowlands is a shame but if Stooke is rumoured then that replaces him. Rowlands does annoy me though as Wales had absolutely nothing to do with him and yet he had to go there to stay in contention. Reminds me of Parling in that he's a smart operator, knows his game and lineout and operates well.

Odogwu and Bassett will both be signed up for sure as will McIntyre, Cruse and maybe De Jongh... good club men and add a lot when called upon. Cardall apparently might be tempted by starting role at Glaws and Brookes to Toulon doing rounds. Wouldn't mind Sirker staying either.

The rest i think are most likely to be cut and replaced, we have a couple of really talented young props (Nearchou and Cordice) so most likely see them around too. The academy to be honest is turning over such good players at the moment and the board has such faith in Blackett that any choices he makes for the most part i trust.
