Interesting that Jack McGrath is moving to Ulster and seems to have been frozen out by Leinster. He's moving to help his international career seemingly but it could result in him seeing little game time with Leinster and thus missing out on the World Cup squad.

I honestly think Byrne would be playing tomorrow anyway but him leaving removes any real incentive for Leinster to let him play himself into form.
 
To be fair (yes, I know), it's not so much planning, as it is Pollard getting to advance stages in contract talks, and then backing out, with plans B and C messing about as well and refusing to out own to paper (anywhere).

Of course, it's still a ****-up; but if Rhys is the best option available, then he's the best option available.

I thought quite a few of those were done deals (Green, Lavanini, Reid and Taute)?

I'm not sure Liebenberg is needed with Taufua on the way?

I'm pretty sure Taute is confirmed. He's definitely not playing for Munster next season anyway.

I don't think Reid was ever confirmed though, although it does seem likely and would make sense.

Most are done we are waiting till end of season to announce.

Liebenberg at 8, Taufua at 6.

Would take a pack of
Genge, Kerr, Cole, Lavanini, Spencer, Taufua, Thompson, Liebenberg over what we have by a country mile.


General prob our best recruitment on the whole.
More obvious first choice forwards and better backs depth options.
Currently I think it is like
Leatigaga ---> Ma'afu
Lavanini ----> Kitchener
Green ------> Fitzgerald
Taufua -----> Williams
Liebenberg ---> O'Connor
Reid ---------> Toomua
Taute --------> Owen
Viljeon -------> Tait
 
Nicky Smith linked with Newcastle Falcons and Sale, obviously if us Falcons go down he would most likely pick Sale.

TRP also linking George McGuigan with a possible return.

Probably an upgrade on TPN in practice if not on paper.
