Transfers rumours

How could a 31 year old 10/12 be worth 1 million a year ? Jesus christ the money is just crazy over in France, for a million you could get a couple of world class fly halves

yeah I bet soon Boudjellal or Lorenzetti will start buying parts of Australia altogether, so they can pick players as they please, much easier...

WP/Stormers lock cum blindside flank De Kock Steenkamp off to join Ospreys.

George Moala (Auckland Blues) --> Scarlets

Rumour on the Scarlets forum, has Auckland links with Pivac who has said we might make more signings and it is already evident that we need a heavier centre/winger in the squad. Can any of our Southern Hemisphere friends tell me what he's like? I remember seeing him play very well on every occasion I've seen him on tv.
Thank you beforehand

Well if you are looking for a powerful runner who can play outside center and wing he is up there despite not being a huge 'name'. He can be devastating if given some space.

I would be surprised to see Moala leave Auckland, but if he did he would be an excellent pickup for Scarlets, and a big loss for Auckland/ the Blues.

As Stormer2010 mentions he is a big (~105kgs) poweful wing (who is handy at centre too). He is very dangerous with room to move, and is a physical defender too (though does tackle a bit high a times). He still needs to work on his consistency, doesn't really have a kicking game, and can be a bit uncertain under the high ball, but overall he is a very good player.

Apparently Leicester are in the running for Nyanga.

I could actually see that happening TBH.

Thinking about it is Leicester do sign him it may mean that Matera will be going to the Argentinian super rugby team.

Bad news if that happens.

I think there are various clubs making offers including us at Montpellier, sun, sea, great stadium, good food, excellent wine, great women, well paid, or the other choice is Leicester................ tough call!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! wonder what he will choose ????????????????????????

Dunno... might be an idea to ask the immigrants who are fleeing the place in droves...

Depends I he wants to win something or not, or at least be in some finals.

Also according to someone on another forum Cohen has said Tigers have agreed terms with Fonoa and would have been either this season if they were relegated or next season when his contract is over.

So sounds like it is still on.

Isn't he the huge nu 8 wrecking ball.

Fonua would be ****ing terrifying. Isnt he about 140kgs ? Tigers are getting massive pack together, add Nyanga as well and what a back row. But would he fit in with Croft at 6 ?

It would be good to once again have an English heavyweight team - I wouldn't even mind if it was Tigers. However, I think that it would be good for the morale of the English game to have a genuine top side.
