Transfers rumours

He's just be a slower, decidedly more Welsh version of JOC then. Perfect.

I'd take him as a 12 for Quins. JTH has run his course.

Also, does anyone know why Tim Molenaar has been let go? Can't work out why.

That is a mental decision.
JTH has looked....well, poor, since returning from injury. Molenaar has looked very very good.
The only things I can think are:
JTH wants to play 12, meaning Molenaar is out of a spot.
Molenaar has been offered a contract elsewhere.

JTH has been a 12 and Molenaar 13, but yeah I agree. I guess he is 33 so quite old but so is Nick Evans. No announcement regarding Molenaar leaving to another club, whereas the other guys going have had their destination confirmed. The club statement simply said Sackey and Molenaar would not be offered contracts after coming in on a short term basis.

As an aside, a lot of anger on the Quins fan forum about how this has been handled. Along with the news about Molenaar, the departures Kennedy, Smith, Guest and Mo were all confirmed in the same statement. No thanks to anybody then. Very terse.

JTH has looked crap for ages. I know Quins are big on their academy, but it does not look a smart move.

Hogg to Ulster now all but confirmed on the rumour mill. Weird reversal there.

Why the **** the Ulster get all the good signings?

The rumour about him moving has started back up again though.

It's strange as this rumour hasn't been going around in Glasgow/Scotland. The first I'd heard about it was on here. I don't know where it's coming from exactly but time will tell I guess.

Leinster are getting Stuart Olding as part of the Hogg deal. Fact

Oooh you are a cheeky blighter.

Will - Originated on the Ulster forums. Was originally rubbished, but in the last couple of days all the reliable rumour hounds say its happening. Mindyou, they've been wrong before, but not all that often...

I genuinely don't want Hogg. Payne is average at 13, Cave has been outstanding at 13 for most of the season (most line breaks I think?) and is below average at 12. It would leave Olding / Marshall to fight for the 12 shirt which would be ideal.

I guess in all of this Cave is going to get ****ed over, can't imagine how he'll feel after the season he just had.

12: Olding / Marshall
13: Cave
15: Payne
sub: Marshall / Olding

Is in my opinion better than (better for Ulster and Ireland)

12: Marshall
13: Payne
15: Hogg
sub: Cave / Olding

Edit: It could work out decent though, if we got Hogg, and Payne went to Leinster to play 13 - you'd think Humphries could get somebody like Jordi Murphy or Ruddock (less likely probably) to move in return which would fill a hole in the backrow..

I think Leinster would take Cave off Ulsters hands if Hogg showed up, or Olding or both.
