Transfers 2016-2017

Former Leinster and current Bedford centre Tom Farrell is joining Connacht with immediate effect. Pretty much how a championship goes ideally for an Irish player. Connacht could definitely do with the players. Preferably a ten though.
He was ranked ahead of Rory O'Loughlin last season. Could be a very useful signing for Connacht. Was excellent at Ireland u20 level.

Fraser Balmain signs for Glouscester.

What's he like? Doesn't look to have had too much action for Leicester in the last couple of years.

Presumably he will replace Ma'afu who looks seriously overweight and can barely last a half.

England gone from having zero 7's to having 3/4 promising sevens all 20 and under.

Underhill is physically the most ready for international rugby though.

Very pleased that Underhill's future is sorted. Could be a round peg in a round hole for Eng. Hopefully he'll live up to the hype.

2019 pack of Genge, George, Cole (you need one old timer in the front row), Kruis, Launch, Itoje, Underhill and Binny would be pretty damn exciting.

I'd say it's potentially even higher than that - Evans and Underhill are the most established, but the Currys are coming up fast and if Ludlam could make a breakthrough, he certainly has the skill set to be a contender.

2023 pack
1) Genge (27)
2) Cowan Dickie (29)
3) Sink (29)
4) Itoje (28)
5) Launchbury (30)
6) Curry (25)
7) Underhill (26)
8) Vunipola (30)

gerting abit ahead of myself but still.

A front row of Genge, Cowan-Dickie and Sinkler pretty much means someone is getting filled in at some point.

I'd rather see Hill come into the tighthead role as I just can't see Sinkler starting because of how he performs at the scrum, I think with time Hill will become an all round better player then Sinkler as Sinkler just seems to have a novelty feeling about him as he occasionally makes a break through the line, currently quite overrated in my opinion.

Maybe with time but currently Hill isn't playing for saints.

Think the rumoured move to Sale might do him some good, esp if they sign a LH to go with him.

I'd probably prefer George at hooker. In 2023 he'll be 32 which isn't too old for a hooker IMO.

Crazy to think how good our pack could be in a few years time. If you go on the basis of 50 caps per year, you could be looking at a pack an average of about 50 caps (George and Itoje could easily have 50 by then, and Billy and Launch slower to 80).

Good signing.

You need to sort your life out.

I just hope Eddie's gameplan will deviate from the tackle machine 7 he's been forced to select thus far

Unless Binny follows his NFL dreams. Also don't think Curry's a 6.
