Transfers 2014/15

But no, no one cares because he'll struggle to make the Irish starting team let alone an England one.

Dunno about that, reckon he'll be a solid player for a team like irish and Geraghty can be a bit hot cold/injury prone, but the chances of him playing for England are pretty slim.

The man cannot tackle. He kicks alright and has shown some ability to spread the ball wide but nothing too exceptional IMO. With West and Hickey around at the Blues this season I doubt he'll start another Super XV game.

Of course he'll be playing a different style of rugby and arguable at a slightly lower level so he may be okay. Wouldn't hold my breath though.

oh, yeah, i agree... i'm not saying he'll set the premiership onfire but he could turn out to be a bit of a solid squad player for Irish - will get some decent game time from them i'd have thought.

Koree Britton: Gloucester --> Northampton Saints

With immediate effect - until the end of the season.

lool, the regular season ended some hours ago, and France/Perpignan lock Romain Taofifenua is already signed by Toulon for next season. Glad for him, he'll be more recognized and at the forefront of a very good team in a very tough league. He could develop more there.

"His signing will add to a high-profile recruitment programme by the big-spending southerners who have also snared Wales full-back Leigh Halfpenny from Cardiff, Montpellier scrum-half Eric Escande, Georgia loose forward Mamuka Gorgodze, Clermont flank Gerhard Vosloo and Perpignan hooker Guilhem Guirado."

Do you know if any of their other big players are going to be leaving ? Like Benvenuti, Strokosch, Lopez ?

yes, of course. Camille Lopez cannot stay there, they won't have the capital to keep their "gems". I feel really, really sorry for Perpignan. One fine beginning to the year, the best try-scorer in the league at the time, lots of hope with a quality developing young 10...then bam. Big injuries, now they're stripped of their big guns and thrown into another wild environment.

As a coach? He couldn't be good enough to walk into one of the best sides in the country?!

Heard it here first. Strong rumours he's been invited to play. I don't believe it and am not familiar if he has any previous GAA achievement but interesting rumour. Eric Miller tried same for Dublin few years back too

Mils Muliaina is a hell of a signing. He's nowhere near the player he once was but is still a significant upgrade on Gavin Duffy who he'll replace. His experience is just as valuable and hopefully he can impart a fair whack of knowledge on the likes of Robbie Henshaw, Darragh Leader and Tiernan O'Halloran.

Do they realize that he isn't eligible for Ireland? ;)
Probably not. They should have poached Tongan Malakai Fekitoa!

This has been known for few weeks and even at his age it's still great signing. That being said I think Connacht are moving away from days of developing and after taste of HEC are desperate for more

They would - but Jared Payne is already covering that spot in the centres ;).

If Connacht can dig up a 10 they're going to have a very tasty back line. Marmion at 9, Aki and Henshaw in the centres, Muliaina at the back, two of O'Halloran, Pooleman, Carr and Leader on the wings. Very tasty indeed.
