Top 14 : Day 9

Already said that it will be more prominent...............................we have accepted the probability of relegation now it really is time for you to accept the vagaries of referees!! Even Poite can get it wrong......ask the Saffers! MHL were just not good enough that night...............................

Good to see that you are going down without a fight sounds fairly gutless to me !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Probabllity not definitely!!......mind you, Manx Kippers (the ONLY Kippers!!) are gutless and we are kippered!!!!

It is only a question of when it is confirmed...................8/9 losses and that win only because that opposition team had not got back from its holidays is not a record to give one much hope!!

Another blow for Montpellier Juan Figallo out for 5 / 6 months he is having a back operation in Bordeaux (disc problem) in all, will probably not play again this season, we could well be looking for a medical replacement.

Toulouse 28 10 French Stage...............Toulouse seem to be to be the most consistent side in France at the moment (alongside MHL but have not seen as much of them) and emphasised this with a bonus point win against the old enemy. I know that Toulon are joint top with these two sides but they are there without really playing that well - which has to be an eye opener for the others with a view to the fact that they have to click soon! That being said, and I do not know the Stade team that well, it strikes me that their team was not at full strength particularly in the scrum?

Interesting that I heard the ref shout "hands off in the ruck" and lots of, if not most, other instructions in English during this match which came as a big surprise seeing as most of both teams were French players!!

But was the referee french too? :) I'm not following Top 14 very much, but they employe foreign referees in games before Heineken matches.

Good point as thought he was French ....will try and find that one out!!

On another point, I have been somewhat critical of Biarritz for sometime but the following has to be part of the reason for their position (even if Windsor and I agree that they need an overhaul of their training and medical structure as we are concerned at the number of injuries they seem to get and how they are managed!)

[h=2]BOPB lost two players (ED in last night's Amlin) to injury, as the club said: Teddy Thomas and Romain Ruffenach . The Basque winger came off in the 43rd, injuring the intercostal cartilage and, Ruffenach, the hooker, had to leave the field with a sprained knee. These Two are injured in addition to the already busy infirmary.[/h]
