come again what now, the WHAT Toulouse ? Haven't been that in too long, in fact getting tired of repeating it...I wouldn't put that word within 5 paragraphs of Toulouse right now. Wasn't even that focused on the game.
Floody disappointing but will bounce back, the guy's good and I like him.
Fickou on the wing, please never again, thanks. Too tall, a bit discomforted by his height, doesn't have the quickness in footwork - keep him at center, and keep playing him.
Brive's pack, again, very very solid. Gotta love Captain Mela. The lock I say we should've included in the xv de France much, much more.....

You may think that this means nothing to either side but i can assure to Montpellier it means 5 very important pts.

Read my comment again. I said "in terms of form", completely different conversation. Of course 5 points are beautiful for MP, coach said it himself they came hoping for 4, got 5. Talk about a "bonus" in the real sense of the term.
But in terms of form, a couple of really close games for MP, some impending inaccuracy...and this match still doesn't indicate a whole lot. We'll have to wait n see where they're really at.

I liked this pass and play in particular at the end of the game. FTD really ought to get the recognition sooner or later he so deserves:




And yeah, I'm enjoying the metaphorical land I am in atm. Thank you. Who knows where the winds will take me after this, maybe back with a Toulouse flag, it's all up to the many factors that constitute our season. I don't control the future.

Talking of form i would say 43 pts and 5 pts constitutes form that must be described "as not too shabby" you're a hard man to please stay in Le Suisse, you will become mild and slow like them all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

True, some teams resist at 14 laudably well, so 45pts for MP, that's good regardless; but is it a true indication on what to expect this year ? Well done my Basques friends....Ibanez and Lesgourges! To go there with a weakened team and take a losing point was impressive and the way that they wanted to play also...thought Tabelua was immense as was my little star, Yann!!

Toulon played awful on attack, and that won't happen again any time soon. Better to give away a try and look very mediocre but still win some regular season match than a big one later when it counts. No 5 points for them though, which is what I half-expected they'd get.

yeah, thought he looked very good ball in hand, made good decisions, served his back line with accuracy, quickness and moved very quickly. Repositioned himself well on a few plays. It's not his fault everybody on the Toulon squad decided to knock on for eighty minutes ! He was doing his job, and with good invention on a few of those dimes, and was as usual very good from the boot scoring points (except the last one, but that's rare from him). I did miss the opening 20 min.
Why, what am I missing ?

one couldn't say he was "very poor", you say he'll always dance around well I say he's always been pretty awful on defense. He played his game with accuracy and vigor, I understand he didn't create a clean break on his own or wtvr but "very poor" that's just exaggerated. As poor as Toulon was on attack; which Mignoni insists was an "accident", which I agree with; the ball did move a lot, and very quickly. Bordeaux just followed well and tackled like hell, and the more it went, the more Toulon saw its own sterility, the more the players either tried less or accelerated but turned even clumsier with the ball. But Michalak was feeding consistently and with good variety, he wasn't just going the same way. He gave a couple of beautiful skip passes, quick touch passes in traffic, and tried to up the tempo while keeping his composure and accuracy...then he made the kicks, all 18 points for Toulon...

that is true. I disagree Michalak isn't a creator quite firmly, but I do understand when you say he can be all dance, but sterile. I do not think he exercised that exclusively yesterday though. But I also am 100% certain he will go back to his old ways again eventually and it's not long before he throws errant passes or turns all febrile. And nobody thinks he can replace Giteau; even if he could keep a good level, Giteau is just simply a wiz.
But in the meantime, if he continues to play with punch and accuracy along with the excellent penalty kicking, he's a very nice second flyhalf to have, as a substitute or a maestro on the road in away games.
In terms of creation, he did create yesterday in spaces and timeframes that don't usually allow creation. He still has some of his old genius in him, that's undeniable. Whether he can be his team's metronome consistently, and insure a high level of creation throughout 80min is a different story. I'm not treading on that ground.
