Heguy couldn't knock snow off a clothes line..

He was brought in from AB because he could throw as Benoit August was pretty inconsistent and crap around the field (another one who should have retired earlier than he did!!) and has been very good up until this season. As the jumpers have stayed the same it is hard to understand but yes, he is having difficulties at the moment!

.......and you know this how?

Wallet before heart mate, BO should have either thrown the state game, or this one, Toulon at home is the big one....

Grenoble showed that...

All home teams win, some big, some medium, and some tight....

ALLEZ top14 on a Wednesday, will, beat having to watch fagball that's for sure...

Fair dues to Peter Lydon for getting himself onto the bench for Stade Francais this week. Seeing as he only signed from Kilkenny in May it's some achievement.

As i said previously all home wins by one, this one is my Joker!!!! Which would leave BO in a very strong position of holding up the entire TOP 14!!!! You could call that strengh in depth!!!!
Demain, pour le compte de la 4ème journée de TOP14, le MHR affrontera l'UNION BORDEAUX-BEGLES. Voici donc la composition que le staff a choisi d'aligner :

No Trinh-Duc and 6 players who come from either the club's rugby school or the club's Academy, Nariashvili, De Marco, Galletier, Selponi, Artru,Sicart, + on the bench Fulgenge Ouedraogo.
Only Bustos, Beattie, and Gard are classed as foriegn players which i think is excellent as everybody is always harping on about the no. of foreign players in the TOP 14.

Having seen the selections and noted that all bar BO have rested their main players.....home wins for all and Bo to find their rightful leagueposition.

In Montpellier's case it is not that much about resting players more about players being dropped that is an entirely different story, the result of last Sat. fiasco against Brive.

It's not so much the players, it's the poor management decisions which worries me the most...especially as our basement co-occupants all seem to be lead by people that are making excellent decisions...

Forget hcup qualification, now we almost need to forget away games, need what 8 wins ? 7 to go from 11 home games, will no doubt be 7 needed from 10 home games...

I'm afraid 7or 8 home wins and nothing else is direct to the Pro D2 next season, last season Bordeaux survived in 12th place with 47pts if you win all your home games it may be enough + away bonus pts are so important more so when you are trying to survive if you are in the Top 6 you are obviously playing well and the bonus points are probably a little less important but matter all the same. Good Luck it may be a very tough season for BO.

Is Nariashvili french? And I know Tchalé-Watchou is an international for Cameroon, but is he actually from there or is he more of a Julien Bardy case?

And I know this is bad for the players and all that, but as a short-sighted top 14 follower, you have to love rugby on Wednesday.

Nariashvili is actually Georgian but was an Academy member so qualifies as Jiff and is not classed as foreign so when in a couple of years the Jiff goes up to 55/60% of the squad have to be French, he will not be counted as a foreign player, its complicated but hope you understand the principle of the issue. As you say it is tough for the players but a mid week match is excellent we are having a dinner party tonight with guys from the club as i am not travelling to Bordeaux. They left this morning by plane and will be back in Montpellier 1/2am. I think Tchale-Watchou has a French passport will ask him on Sunday

Here's a decent explanation. It's nice to see some of the guys who slipped through the net getting chances abroad, good for Irish rugby.

The very best of luck to him as the TOP 14 and Pro D2 are both very competive he will get his chance at some point but the week in week out league with the Espoirs is great as they are all around 20/23 so the games are fast and furious, plus Top 14 players coming back after injury to get back in the groove. The system is both educational and sportive some of the guys finish up having a degree at the end of it all, which is brill after all they are playing the sport they love, being around other rugby players and getting an education at the same time. What could be better.

Agree with all that.............BO Espoirs are playing Oxford University, who are down for pre season, next Wednesday at St jean de Pied Port at 19.00!!

Yeah, I understand the Jiff rule. I hadn't gotten that was what you meant by "being classed as foreign players".

Lots of young Irish players in the Espoirs system at the moment. James Hart has been joined by Shane O'Leary in the Grenoble Espoirs (although it's likely that O'Leary will end up representing Canada at some stage) while Jerry Sexton and Rory Kavanagh have both made the move to Auch. It's nice to see that the guys who aren't getting picked up by the ultra competitive Leinster academy system are still able to pursue careers in pro rugby.
