excellent malt from my sublime collection!!!!!!!!!

You deserved it and your boys too...they are going to be a real force to reckon with this terms if they continue the improvement....mind you thought they were a little speedy on the offside line to stop ASM attacks from time to time but who would have believed that Poite would have missed that !!!!

Well done mate.

I don't mean to brag, but I'd just like to share a few comments about tonight's epic. I thought we played minimalist ball, but played it perfectly and really we beat Clermont at that game as well and were just simply better than them at that. You look at François Trinh-Duc, you look at Ben Fall, and you wonder if PSA literally has shiit in his eyes. Like, an actual excrement sitting atop his big nose, blocking his vision.
Brock James' will was unbending and his foot knew no fear, but the Clutch Money Time award goes straight to our very own FTD, no mistake about it.

Our tighthead, Nicolas Mas seems to have found some form back. But Domingo too. It was the first time I'd seen these two go (quite literally) head to head. Domingo had arguments in the scrum, and won two brilliant TO balls.
But about that, again, how the fk do you not pick Benjamin Fall ?? You put Le Bourhis, a center, or Médard, a past-his-prime fullback when you have Ben Fall, yeah ? Tackles like a maniac, even wins TO ball, tall, strong, good in the air, athletic, world class pace, and good experience at this point he's not a rookie anymore.

Jonathan Davies was powerful ball in hand, strong carrier, but lost the ball constantly. Fofana wasn't bad, but didn't look quite at home. Vahaamahina is one serious client to put down when he's got the ball as decides to charge in. Chouly is one heck of a backrower. And Fritz Lee was huge. Oh and the Clermont bench added some punch, but just not enough.
It should be said Clermont played just too restrictively, and yes our defense was excellent but they're just not what they used to be...

I thought it was too good to be true, and the arms of trepidation would close down on us as they seem to always do, but then this ray of light, of Montypellierain magical light just could not be shunned, and like a dream detonating, exploding onto the structures of reality with marvel and gayness and making it shine like never before in the middle of Marcel Michelin... we'd won. We'd beaten the ASM Clermont in the volcano.

very good B E you are starting to impress me i just did not think it would be so soon your love affair with Montypellier how cute!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

yes it's the strangest feeling, but my passion and ceaseless love are real. It started right around the 80th minute, I think by coincidence the referee blew his whistle - possibly the final whistle of the game - that's when I realized how much Montypellier meant to me. All of a sudden my heart was filled with vivid emotions and also vanilla strawberry icecream, and I knew I would be Montypellier's forever (at least for one night).
Ah...the world of emotions and feelings, so unpredictable and magical...

God Lord Jesus, you have to be the the biggest and my favourite turncoat this centuary, you are a very lucky man, not that long ago they would have burnt you at the stake, tarred and feathered you, in a barel and over the falls etc etc, but just hope your love affair continues you will hear nothing but praise from I.......... ..................... now we have broken the spell and the monkey is off the back its Castres next Friday evening, probably in front of a full house, and we officially name the Stadium next Fri. L' ALTRAD STADIUM, there will be speeches etc etc and then the President is buying everybody a drink should be a healthy round of drinks around 14,500 if they all turn up, the only one not present will be me as i will be doing my usual tasks which don't even stop when the President is buying (sob sob!!!) Going back to Last night, the inverse defence worked its so effective when done properly but also very dangerous as behind there is nothing, they were not offside it looks that way but its just so fast. Several tiny mistakes by Clermont the 2 missed penalties the penalty kick that went touch in goal, fine lines but sometimes enough to turn a game around. Trinh-Duc on fire but a pack that was domminant and at last a touch that fonctioned perfectly bar a couple of not straight throws by Ivaldi. Good opening games by Mowen and Donnely, Dupont left a couple of times unprotected from restarts but very few mistakes and what a confidence booster, to soon to talk but this could restart the season for Montypellier, after a not smooth and bumpy begining.
Galthie once again shows the magic he has for detail, if you could see some of the things he has them doing at training its hard to believe, but he is a master tactician and knows his onions. So the dream is re-ignited and Montypellier move on to another Canal + Friday night Gals game against Castres not only is B.E. kindling his love affair with Montpellier he has competition from Canal +, Two lovers torn apart from their cealess passion for something they will probably never be able to claim as their own, but endless letters of passion and statements of their love will help and ease the burden that Gaston carries on his more than ever aching shoulders, but who will claim the prize of this fair maiden???????????? B.E. OR CANAL +????????????????????????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

didn't see that one coming .....well done Monsieur Le Gaff !

Merci but it was called by the superb predictator Gastonius, again, yes again folks, for the moment he is at his usual 100% crrect but will it last!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

and no doubt the lovely Isabella will be there too..... You sure you can't make it!!!

"turncoat", churncoat. Such an ugly expression, ppl take things all so seriously, relax, have a Domino's pizza and read a...well actually don't do that, they're fkng terrible, dunno why I said that...

Okay, here's our Toulouse squid calamari, mmm no just squad actually; for the weekend folks:

Good lookin' pack, and the bench is just as nice. And look who's back in the third row. Looking at the squad they're sending, it really seems like they're planning on winning this one. They probably figured they wouldn't get an easier opportunity on the road all season. Not sure where Flood is, though...
I'm very, very skeptical about this one in La Rochelle. Toulouse are saying "yeah good match against Castres but we must stay humble, we can't have big heads, blah blah.." they always say this and end up looking like a third the team they looked a week prior...

Won't be able to watch the games live today :cryy:

I think that question is ...are they trying to win this and the answer is no as McAllister/Bezy as opposed to Flood/Doussain half back pairing is so much the poorer............interesting to see if McAllister starts the kicking or whether they go straight to Bezy after he misses the first five!!!

Doussain's on the bench, that's true, but I think a guy like Bezy gets a start to prove himself more, why not in this game, and McAlister back in the start isn't exactly a poor choice either, he was Toulouse's starting 10 all of last season, this is obviously to properly test the man again after a long absence from the field.
But the rest of the team is serious military material. Check it out: there's just Steenkamp missing on the LH side (in SA of course). Huget's missing, for the 30-match thing I believe (injured ? don't think so), and Médard gets some time in his real jersey, no.15, with Poitrenaud left at home.

Well I mean, that's my reading of it...this is just a humble Montypellier fan's assessment of the situation...

Gaston congratulations to your men on a fabulous win. But dare I say it Clermont are on a slight decline.

of course i will be there i wont be at the opening stadium thingy as i will in my office working, someone has to run this club!!!!!!
PS B.E. I have a proper wood burner (i use des souches) pizza oven which i use very often especially for our gite guests and friends we do not do domineachee's's's's... crap!!!!!!........sorry... you never heard of my pizzas in the Var!!!!!!!!

True that they are not at the pomp of three years ago but they were not a bad team last night and more to do with MHR not letting them play and killing them with their rush defence to which I pay due attention above!! I would agree with Gastoneytie (the Italian pizza man) that Galthie played a blinder in plotting this match!

Doussain also rested due to the agreement but has to be on bench as cover peut etre?

McAllister, has not been the same player for some time, (I know others disagree), and really do have doubts not only about his kicking but also about whether he is the same player after a couple of seasons of serious injuries. Time will tell.............but surely he is now 12 with Flood alongside at 10 and not an out and out 10 himself!

Not a fan of this referee, apparently loves a yellow card also. Think the referee they said on commentator has handed 40 yellow cards in 13 games.

Biarritz has suffered from him and have never rated him but think he is having a good game....the last penalty was given by the linesman rather than our Cyril. Iuean reckoned it was a 50:50 call but I thought it was given the wrong way. The only other contentious issue was the Bezy rolling try which should not have been given but our Cyril would not have seen the replay as it is not shown in the French stadia and it was solely the fault of the TMO. Credit to Cyril for asking for it to be looked at and also for sorting out "the fight", more handbags, between Fritz and Gobler with words rather than any action!

Again, just now, he asked the TMO to look as to whether there was any knock on leading to the "try" and was told by the TMO there had been so our Cyril disallowed it....

PS it was 40 in 15 games last season but have no problem with the number as some of the other refs do not us it enough!!

Also, with reference to earlier post, have to admit McAllister has taken his kicks well but other than is still pretty average!!

Thanks for that Tony, interesting!

Referee for me has played quite an important part in this game which is sad.

Just seen a different replay of the "rolling" incident and there is no doubt Cyril was watching it with good view and even held his arms out to signify play on.....his question to the TMO must only have been whether he was held but the actual situation was that the rolling itself was a foul which our Cyril should have given himself!! Sorry for trying to give our Cyril some credit on that one!!

Are the Sky boys actually there or in the studio?!!

Well thank you kind Sir, but i have to say Clermont where pretty good last night but Montpellier probably just about deserved it in the end, a master plan concocted by Galthie, one day he will bring France back to glory but for the now he's ours!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Imanol up to his usual.........looks like cruciate injury....oh no, would you believe it......miracle!!! Would like to go to the same church as him!!!!
