Valiant Basque effort tonight from the Aviron Bionic who just wouldn't let Clermont run their game. Superb Marvin O'Connor, that kid is dynamic with real accuracy, and Haare is one heck of a flanker, what passion. Rocko his usual class, and Ollivon not bad on occasion. Spedding and O'Connor's partnership in the back three was spot on, these guys with whoever else are one underrated back three.

RACING LOST AT HOME TO OYONNAX, WAAAAAT ?! No tries, just Urdapilleta I see incl a drop. Nice to see Thomas got another score. Will have to watch this...
Also Paris Bordeaux looks like it was one heck of an adventure too. Pierre Bernard on sizzling form, scored all 22 for his club (incl their one try).

So this is it for Toulon, time to make amends for their faults against Grênobili. Apparently it was an absolute crisis when they lost at home to them last year: Bernard Laporte wanted to quit, Boudjellal was running in circles...haha, doesn't take much for the Toulonnais.
I predict a bonified win. Game is very early, in a couple of hours, 1pm France. Laporte very happy with Nico Sanchez already, calling up all superlatives. A very underrated talent indeed, and already such a well rounded 10.

61-28. Grenoble could not hold up in the last 20, shame shame shame...I'll betcha there would be a ton more big upsets if a Rugby game were just one hour...but it's 80min.

Grenoble showing their class again on attack and in their fundamentals but Toulon and its individual calibers was just relentless towards the end.
Nico Sanchez good ball in hand but bad from the tee. Not a bad for a first in Mayol.
Bougherara promising at TH, although he missed a tackle he looked destructive during that one scrum, although Grenoble had probably let go already.

dommage dommage...I'm a Toulon fan, but was behind Grenoble yesterday. They play such a classic brand of Rugby and a nice fluid game offensively...they resisted well, riposting with a try every time Toulon looked away....20min too many at the end, score isn't just.

at the end of Day 10, that's pretty worrying..
and yeah, for Racing it's strange they're only +7 on the pts diff......but in the Top 6 still, no sweat.

Everyone talks about the top 6 but look at the bottom and what you see 5/6 teams in line for the drop but who??? when jan. comes around you may find a difference but what a competition take Toulon out of the reckoning and the battle is unbelievable anyone could come 2nd and of the 2 to go down who will it be, cause somehow i dont think it will be Castres but dumber things have happened in the TOP 14 eg Boujellal talking forfeit next Sat and against Castres i ask you !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

it could be just about anybody falling out of the league. For anybody who'd want to attempt knowing who now, it's clearly absolutely pointless. Even 7th seeded Grenoble who have a relatively nice position today are only 5 and 5 on the year and below 50pts in the diff. column. Things move all too quickly, in about 3 Days you find yourself a bunch of places down out of nowhere not playing particularly awful Rugby.
