Top 14 1/4 final playoffs...

I did not realise that a failure to win would mean that it would be the first time that Toulouse have not been in the semi finals for TWENTY YEARS!!!!!!

Well Gaston has thought long and hard about his preditions for the two 1/4 finals this weekend and after deliberating for hours and hours!!!!!!!!!!!!! sorry seconds!!!!! it came to him in a flash of brilliance!!!!!!!!!! Toulouse and Clermont................

...we are all in awe, quietly, as to not display our credence in your ability...I shall, not without some pride lost or resistance, yield to that prediction.

In other news, well, not really other news, Clermont gon rock dis joint yo:

With my miniature goggles of a scope on, I see a full strength Clermont who's made a few changes, Vosloo (one of the rare positives vs Sarries) starting, captain and veteran centurion Aurélius Rougeraille back and kickin', and most impotently, err importantly: location location location - the Michelinum volcanus will be furious with lava, and as always, lava with a flavor of victory.
I see, still in my narrow small mind's scope, a Clermont ready for battle, ready to erase at least temporarily any image of their last encounter in the H Cup and willing to channel all that thirst for vengeance and punish whomever would have the guts to come over for a quick visit. I think they'll dispatch of Castres, reigning champions or not, fairly easily and prove once again why they were the team we basically all picked to win either competition this year.
Castres are no mere foe, but they do get this fixture at the worst possible time and place...context will mean murder for the C.O. I don't want to go bunkers here, but I'd imagine Clermont by 15.

McAlister with a kick from inside his own half off the crossbar, hell of a boot!

Common Racing!!!!!

Rather...........

So how is this for entertainment from the "boring" Top 14..................................Toulouse will have their work cut out here but if they can weather the storm they will be OK!!

Allez RM!

Ah...can see what Hernandez is there for now.......great kick!

Sums up Noves to me............Fritz should be on the way to hospital for a scan on the head but NOves is down at the dressing room urging him to get back on the pitch.............cannot be right and I am finished wondering why Toulouse are where they are.....it is obvious NOVES is a S****. Why when you have a player like Fickou...................daft and seriously worrying but not unusual in rugby getting players to play when they are clearly not able..............

Noves losing the plot? Toulouse could need a change of staff. Loss today could prompt it.

The quality of rugby on display here so far has been pretty dire to say the least.

Not a great match so far.

But I am still grateful that TV5 Monde allows me to watch it on TV in my country :)

not representative of Toulouse, trust me. Especially not at home.

It was very difficult to watch that poor, ridiculously courageous Florian Fritz having to rush back onto the field, and for what, 5 to play to end the half, like he couldn't at very very least wait for the second half ? Noves looked lost there...yes your team is down 9 at home, and you need your starters, but ffs. And as Tony says, it's not like Fickou is a crap filler ffs....
Pretty shameful display again from Toulouse tonight. They oh so better win this or else my goodness...Toulouse will have lost all credibility and the totality of its mystique, or its aura it's worked so hard to achieve. Toulouse losing casually at home to fkng Racing Metro 92..........after getting annihilated in Munster in that other 1/4F they were in, in 2014...reads well in the history books, ay ? pretty catchy...

What a fkng waste. How is Doussain playing so bad when he can be so brilliant ? It's not even big things, it's tiny things he'll miss...
I'm sorry but Toulouse have been a waste of loaded talent this year. Yes they had a number of beautiful performances, 80min throughout each time, but ultimately to get smashed in Munster like never before and then such a snorefest in the Top 14 ??....
They BETTER win this, or at least start playing Toulouse Rugby goddamn it.

Agreed. And agreed ! :p same here.

RM are not playing brilliant rugby but the Toulouse players can't seem to hold onto a ball or get posession from any set piece.
