Thug to appeal ban

Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat?!

Bloody hell, right or wrong (and this is definitely wrong heres hoping Flannery gets 10 weeks) the IRFU are cutting things very fine!

Edit: Oh okay, it won't be heard in time for this weekend but still..

What the duck?
He's already said he's guilty, he should just take his punishment like a man.
They should add at least two weeks on just for the bloody cheek of it

Lads Ican 100% assure you Flannery didn't want to appeal but it's the IRFU that pushed this through.

And I lve way we call him a thug when if we resort to it then there a fine list of player.
(Dylan Hartley, Kevin Mealamu, Olivier Azam, Guillaume Ribes, Marius Tincu, Bismarck Du Plessis)

And they onl some of the Hookers in past year or 2  Imagine if we do draw up full list

Yep, they've all been naughty over the last 2 years.

However, Flannary and Azam are the only pair to have form and repeatedly behave like thugs over the past 2 years. As I said... THUG to appeal ban.

As for the IRFU... We all know what wankers they are when it comes to turning a blind eye when one of their own are misbehaving. They make the RFU (or even Sanzar) look fair.

Hartley got 6months Flannery never got any ban like that. So well guess it whatever way you look at it I guess.
Was Dallaglio a thug in his day or others who got reported (not banned) plenty of times for punching etc. OR Johnson who in same boat and don't get me wrong there plenty more from Ireland, UK and all over.
Not thugs in my book.

A for the appeal i can guarantee Flannery didn't want the appeal and a cross appeal has been lodged by the disciplinary officer of 6Nations.

Hartley wasn't a test player so got a big ban.

Dayglo was a test player so never got a big ban.

Flannary stamped on someone's head and got f-all. Then attempted to break someone's leg and got f-all.

Flannary is a test player so never got a big ban.

Its the IRFU appealing, not Flannery. I hope they throw the book at him for the sake of rugby in general.

Edit: Not worth the bother

I don't think it matters if he a test player or not.

And are you saying so for example 10 2week bans doesn't make you a thug but 1/2 long bans does??

Oh Mite is of course correct again. Flannery, being Irish is of course a complete thug no doubt about it. Sure all those Irish f***s are thugs.

Hush up fool.

At 6 weeks, Flannery could count himself lucky since he admitted the offence and has prior history of thuggish behaviour on the field. Appealing it makes a mockery of the justice system in the game. Thow the book at him as though he's French - 12 weeks minimum for wasting everyone's time.

Not saying he innocent I saying way you class a thug is wrong like.

And unlike GP if he get 10 weeks ok he will probably deserve it i don't deny that,
But lets not forget it the English game where CHEATING, DRUGS, VIOLENT PLAY and least amount of respect to a Ref is present in our game and that is my final word on thuggery.

Look at the history of them, internationals are always given leniency.

A great example is Dylan Hartley getting the 6 months ban. Ironically enough he did the exact same thing as Pat Sanderson on (once again), James Haskell. Who got... NOTHING.
Then when Haskell did it to someone else, he got... Nothing.

Other examples (all for the same crime)
Banahan stamping (current test player)... 2 weeks (sadly it's Northampton mentioned in that article, so certain cretins *coughLogorrheacough* will read more into that)
Grewcock stamping (former test player with reputation)... 6 weeks
Non test player... 15 Months IN JAIL
Jerry Flannary stamping (current test player)... 8 weeks reduced to 4.

Only the blatantly biased would see otherwise.

But Bullitt I appreciate that and agree there is flaws and the BS of home unions giving bans is wrong but just don't agree that Flannery been a thug. Johnson and Dallaglio were the same and weren't thugs it simply yes tempers get heated but these guys are so revved up and when blood boils it gets physical. It a sign of winner's.
Now before you give out :p I know that doesn't excuse incidents and Bans should occur.
For Flannery I agree the stamp deserved 12week minimum but in the kick we don't know if it was deliberate or not and lets remember Palisson even stated he thought Flannery was going for ball. I not saying he innocent or not guilty just dont think it was done in sense of "I'm going to do him here"

Is Danny Grewcock the Stade Duo (Dupuy and Attoub) Schalk Burger Thugs????[/b]
Yes, all are thugs. Gouge somebody on the street and you get jailed, not a short ban from your job. The same goes for stamping on somebody's head or arm.

Flannery and Grewcock are repeat offenders of actions grossly contrary to the laws of the game. They're at best idiots.

Snoop are we sayin Jennings and Quinny thugs too  and Flannery or Grewcock didn't Gouge

If it was "only going for the ball" as the defence is claiming, why did he swing his leg in an angle that is ACROSS the pitch, not down-field?

Plus why did he continue the kicking motion when there was plenty of time to see the ball had been collected and adjust his body position for a fair tackle?

Flannery knew exactly what he was doing.

Quinlan most definitely. Jennings is a dirty player too.

I didn't say Grewcock and Flannery gouged.

What I saying isn't that he didn't do it etc jus that there is a difference between rush of blood to head and been a malicious player. Flannery does get bouts of rush of blood to head and is guilty but he isn't a malicious player.
